Hey guys! I was curious as to how often you get compliments on your Tacoma. If so, from who and where the most? Friends and family or more from random people? Around town or out off-roading? I'm interested because I've gotten a couple myself and It's completely stock. Just your typical 99' SRS extended cab 3.4 V6 stick and yet I've had a decent amount of people ask me if it was for sale. One of the cops in the town won't leave me alone about it :p. He pulls me over just to ask when I'm going to sell him the truck and to tell me how nice it is. Can't wait to see some answers.

I get them from time to time. Mainly that it's clean and that they like the stance.

I get them all the time from everyone...random people, friends, family members and co-workers. The funny thing is my truck isn't really all that special it's a mildly modified 03' Lunar Mist DC but everyone likes it. I guess it all comes down to most people know and respect the Tacoma for what it is..a die hard bullet proof truck.

Usually when I'm filling up at the gas station. Guys would would come by and complement my truck. My wife appreciates that I do things for her with the truck, so she has accessorized the bed...with a spray-in liner, bed extender, tool box and solid fold-up cover. It is a truck, you know. Besides, little trucks with big tires look cute too. Oh yeah, good girls like the truck too.

Just the overall looks and that they can't believe it's a 13 year old truck.

Various friends and co workers and family members compliment my truck on occasion.
I was offered straight up trade for a new ('03) Taurus with all the bells and whistles for my plain jane base model '04 once.

Although I can't help but wonder if some of my compliments were coming from people who were used to seeing my driving my old caprice and liked the idea of my vehicle update. I'll just assume they think my truck is sexy.

Conpliments on how clean it is from all my buddies and fam, then I wrecked it and had two offers to buy it the next day. I will never sell it. When we go in the hills everyone wants to ride in the yota, cuz they know they will never have to get out and dig to get it unstuck.

    ...too much shit to list.
Oh I've been waiting for a thread so I could tell this story! So I'm on my way to work a couple weeks back and I get pulled over by this city cop. Mind you, I wasn't driving over any curbs or civics or anything. He comes up to the window and "informs me" that my front plate is missing. So I tell him, "Well, I found it, it's right there in the windshield." :D

    IMG_2768_050f2a176ec02918839bc63cb10e645f63c56865.jpg

In California it's still illegal to not have the plate on the bumper. The windshield is no substitution. I'm very familiar with this law as I've gotten two fix it tickets because of it.

The cop's response was, "You've got one of the nicest tacomas I've ever seen. Get the hell out of here before I change my mind."

I took it as a complement and went on my merry way.

I've had a cop pull up next to me and told me to lower my window and he was telling me how nice of trucks tacomas are and how he has one too
