posting too many deals making you guys spend money lol.

To be honest this would probably be interchangeable with the 1up since it has the slots on bottom of the tray. Also, it looks like it’s one solid tray so it may be able to be taken off and used on roof racks as well.

I literally just ordered a second hanger tool this morning for traveling. Once you buy one you'll use it all the time.

It's a very quick job, not sure how much better or smoother it will make shifting, but if did feel great on the stand last night.

I will say I'm having to check b tension about once every 2 weeks or so. People that say set it and forget it are lying or they have some good threadlocker on that screw.

Same, generally initial install and maybe a tweak shortly afterwards if I didn’t get it quite right the first time. Odd

Absolutely love that bike. I hope they'll sell frame-only in the future.

I'm fixing the b-tension only when I need to replace a derailleur/hanger (shimano 12spd). But I DO need to get an alignment tool, been on my to-dos for a while.

BTW: If anyone's been eyeing some OneUp gear, they have a 20% code right now: SUMMER22

Adjusting a b-screw every two weeks is not right. Something else is going on. They really are, for the most part, set it and forget it.

    Yep. I wax....and I tell everyone to!

That's a pretty good guideline. Shows it's not as daunting a task as some may think. The initial setup and cleaning a new chain is the most work...from then on it's super easy.

    My system goes like this:
-Brand new chain gets four or five washes in mineral spirits to get the new-chain-gunk off. Pour the old spirits into a jar to decant...then you can pour it back into an old jug, filtered through a coffee filter, to use again.
-Give chain one more bath in alcohol or methyl hydrate.
-Mix your wax. I use 1lb parrafin, 5g PTFE, and 1g molydenum disulfide
-Put wax and chain into crock pot
-I usually keep an eye on it. The moment that the wax is fully melted I pull the chain(s) out. I have a few nails on the end of my workbench to hang them from
-Once cool break the hard wax up a bit and install
-On narrow-wide chainrings especially you'll need to run the chain in a bit until it's running super smooth
-Give the chain a quick wipe after your ride. I usually just use a dry rag but you can use a rag dampened with alcohol. You don't need to go crazy though

For a refresh of an already waxed chain I typically just toss back into the crock pot. If it's real dirty I give it a quick boil in water and a rinse in alcohol first.

All this sounds like a lot of work but it really isn't once you have things set up. I also keep at least two chains per bike to cycle through. This way I can do everything in a batch. I'll go three to four weeks and then put all the chains into the wax at once. Doing that I can clean and wax six to eight chains in five minutes or so.

I keep an electric kettle with an old pot and the crock pot in the garage. I hang all my chains up on the wall. I have each section labelled ie; "dirty gravel" "clean mtb" etc to keep them all organized. Once a chain is dirty or needs waxing I just pull it off, hang it with the dirty chains, and throw a fresh clean chain on. Done in seconds.

The benefits of efficiency and reduced wear are obviously awesome but the absolute best part is that you can ride a chain for a few hundred kilometers and then just grab it with bare hands and not have any dirt or black schmutz all over you.

thanks man, that's super helpful! I've been having good luck with my current lube but wanted to try wax since people have always said it's a good thing haha. I will probably order some wax today. Parts for my AXS setup have been rolling in over the last couple of days haha

I should also add that I use Squirt to touch up a chain if needed. Any waxed based lube should work well.

I did a 100km gravel race on Sunday with some mud and wet spots. Had to run a few kilometres because the mud was so bad it would pack up on the wheels and frame so much the wheels couldn't turn. Here's my drivetrain at the end:

dang that's pretty clean! I've been getting out on the gravel more the last couple months and I've definitely noticed my drivetrain not being happy with how dusty it has been. I'm just super excited to be upgrading to 1x12 on my gravel bike haha

When you use wax - how quickly does a wet environment wash it away? I use lube because it does get wet from time to time in New England, but have been quite curious about wax lately.
