They should make a pressure sensor in the rear so that the doors don't lock or you get an audible signal until the pressure is removed.

There are two systems I've found that are clever. One of them, a weight sensor is in the car seat and another on the driver's seat belt buckle. Whenever you park and undo your seatbelt, it beeps at you for 30 seconds to remind you of baby in the back.

The other one hardwires into the vehicle. Once you open the rear door to load baby up, the alarm is armed. Whenever you get to where you're going and shut off the car, you have a finite amount of time to open the rear door and press a button you install back there to disarm the alarm. If you don't press the button, your car horn starts going off. Pretty cool systems.

Wonder if there's a thing you could clip to him and to yourself that would go off if you move too far apart. Would be handy in multiple situations.

They do make replacement car seat clips (the one over their chest) that is "smart" and pairs to your phone. One of the features is if it's clipped together and you(r phone) gets too far away, your phone starts yelling at you.

I heard this on the radio this morning: put your left shoe with the kid when you get into the car.

I’ve heard that one too, as well as leave your wallet/phone back there, or have a stuffed animal that rides in the car seat and gets moved to the front seat when your kid is in there. Or your keys if you have a push to start.

I don't have kids. Just a demanding dog that will cry and bark loudly if she gets left behind. Especially because there's CFA invovled.

Perfect. Now put your head back in the window. You're drooling down the side of the car.
