When starting sometimes it acts like it’s not getting fuel but always does start but helps if I press the gas pedal. Once started it runs fine and never dies??

So your saying it has an intermittent long crank or is it more of a start/stall?
What year and engine is your truck?
    How many miles?
    Any codes?

Take it to an auto store and have them scan your codes for you.

Yes, very intermittent long crank to start. After it starts it runs fine. It acts like it’s starved for fuel during just starting.
    It’s a 2009 with 105 thousand miles.
It displayed no codes but no idea if the reader is accurate.
    Thanks for any advise!

First thing I'd want to do is have a fuel pressure gauge connected to it and see if the fuel pressure is slow to build when it acts up.
