I am sooo glad that I have an 06’ ie: before any traction control hit. We’ve had two T4R’s 07’ Limited and 2020 Pro and they have both tried to murder me on multiple occasions with traction control “ safety “ braking fucktardedness

I concur - I love that my 05 doesn't even have seatbelt chimes, and no safety 'aids'... but you are 1 up on your 06... no head gasket issues...

I am stoked on my 06 with no seat belt chimes and traction control as well.

Is HP Tuners the way to go? It's something I've been looking into for a while, and really want to learn. Was also looking at VF Tuner.

uh no such luck… my 06’ was manufactured and delivered in 05’ so I did in fact win the head gasket lottery which ran me about $2500 a few years ago :/

Yeah it’s pretty great stuff. I hardly have engine mods but a tune. It really made a big difference, kinda felt like no more drive by wire after the tune.

First drive was a success. No leaks anywhere!! Mostly concerned with the brakes. The rear end is a proven solid rear end.

Any reason the +2 CVj axles won’t work with the 2.25 kit?

Nope, that's what i'm running/what jdf recommends unless you get their 934s [at least, that was the case when ordered last year]

Better get your tuning software and/or devices sooner than later. EPA is coming down hard on manufactures and tuners.

HP Tuners is awesome. I've ditched my SAI system, am tuned for cam gears/ mods and ready for boost down the road. Better power, driveability and MPG's but I'd do it again just for controlling the tranny and throttle body map. There's a bunch of gimmicky bolt on and/or piggy back stuff you can splice in for similar results but there's nothing like factory wiring and hardware along with the power to tweak it and turn it all off. Lol. Probably the best money I've spent on the truck.

I've installed my LCA pivots and completed a crappy at-home alignment until I can get to my alignment appointment on Monday. I also installed new coilovers, which I've left at 0 preload.

I feel like I have exactly the same amount of clearance from my cab mount as I did before installing the kit when I had a 3-inch lift. When stuffed at full lock, I feel like my 35-inch tire is going to hit my cab mount, just like it did before. I had thought that the kit would fix this. So I'm unsure if my crappy at-home alignment is the problem, if I need to add some preload to help gain some clearance, or if I was wrong about gaining full clearance and fitting 35s. Super happy with the kit, just hoping to clear up the confusion I have.

I was lucky enough to score a blown head gasket and frame failure at the driver motor mount at the same time

Your rear cam appears to be installed improperly. Should be installed like you have the front which has the bolt more outboard

He welded the part that’s labeled no weld. So he has to run them backwards. No difference just can’t match drill them to lock the cams. Unless you have a 90° drill. I did the same thing but not a big deal to grind it out with a die grinder.

What? Thats not what I'm talking about. The cams can be installed two ways, bolt inboard or bolt outboard. Proper is bolt outboard front and rear. He has outboard front inboard rear.
