I got a 5.7L Tundra. I have a corolla that gets 30+mpgs for daily driving, so using the Tundra that gets 15mpg on the weekend and for adventure trips isnt bad at all.

I got a lexus GX instead.

It's a way better vehicle than the tacoma 3rd gen, it's better off road and on. It's more powerful, and more comfortable.

I do miss having a manual.

The lexus GX looks weird, but I actually took care of that. I also added 4.56 gears and lockers. Just need armor and im done.

The GX community has absolutely exploded now, so the aftermarket is closing in on the Tacoma.

Too many kids. If I did that, there’d be a rear facing behind me, and that’s worse

Me, if I sold my DCSB TRD, I’d be in the market for a DCLB TRD Pro.

I will get a Tundra when I sell my Tacoma. I originally wanted to get a Tundra but at the beginning of the year but Tundra's were not available.

After i pay off mine, a Tundra is coming. I want something with a bit more space in the driver's seat, and more towing capacity. Gotta stay in the Toyota family.

Ranger Raptor. 400HP TT-V6, 10 Speed transmissions, front and rear lockers factory, 33's factory. Not saying I will because the markup is dumb, but I could see why people would. I miss having passing power.

Yep. Toyota better step up their flagship game.

I'm unsure about the Ranger but the Bronco had something like 4 gearing options too (it was either no price increase or a couple hundred bucks, I forget which).. so no having to drop $2500 on aftermarket gears. If you consider the price of a Pro Taco, Supercharger and aftermarket gears then it's easy to rationalize the Ranger Raptor price.

Toyota, I'd like a GR Tacoma please. Thanks!

Just yesterday my coworker said her husband was trying to get rid of his Titan XD diesel due it being too large and the current price of diesel. She saw a motorcycle in the bed and said the LR color was beautiful. You live up in new England?

I think they had poor reliability reviews, would take some getting used to coming from tacomaworld except on a Friday.

Not an option in LB unless it happens to be for a Tundra, which i also doubt is available in anything but the 5.5.

while i absolutely love my Tacos, now with a little one and all the gear and my desire to tow, it seems that a Tundra or Sequoia will be in my future.

Probably should have jumped straight to the Tundra when I got my 2020 Tacoma, but as a daily the Tacoma is the bees knees (for me)

I looked at F150's, and my dad just went from his rusted out 2006 Tacoma that still ran completely fine to a F150. But I just couldn't.

I thought this was a joke at first, playing on Ford's lack of reliability. I guess there really is a Ford Rattler, lol.

Driving an F-150, is a unemotional experience which is ok. Nothing like driving a Tacoma, if the 3rd gen Tundra works itself out, I wouldn't rule out a TRD PRo, an OR, or a SR5 SX.

There was a Ram reg cab 6.4 4x4 2500 Tradesman I wanted to buy Olive Green, base trim, cloth seats and a good bit of interior options. That seemed like a good truck I think it was in 2020. I didn't want to make an out of state purchase and have it shipped. Plus it would have needed a nice lift kit big tires, and what ever else to get it looking like a Power Wagon.

Also, my wife and I just did a very similar trip last weekend: Into Yosemite from the south, through the valley, out Tioga pass, some Mammoth explorations, and home via 395.

Exactly why I made the choice to sell my Tacoma and upgrade to a TRX. After buying the Tacoma, putting on a supercharger and looking at the next steps to get what I wanted out of it I realized it didn't make sense when I could just buy the truck pre-built. I am going to miss the Tacoma's relatively compact size though.

No doubt. Sounds like some marketing folks were having tongue-in-cheek fun.
