    Funny enough I just ordered an entire 4.0 short block from a different dealer. They shipped it free through FedEx ground! I have no idea how the driver is going to deliver it.

    That same dealer wants $300 freight shipping for the flooring.

    Flooring just showed up. Everything looks right. Going to wait until next weekend to tackle it. Probably going to dynamat a bunch of shit while the carpet is out too

    Have you seen the off-brand sound deadening on Amazon? That stuff has really come down in price since there’s competition in the market now.

    $60 gets you 35-50 sq ft. Before you couldn’t do a single door with Dynamat for that $$.

    It showed up. Looks like it’s in one piece. FedEx left the box in the middle of the driveway. Hopefully they didn’t kick it out of the back of the truck.

    The engine is damaged. Has a nice dent next to a cooling passage on the deck.

    Moral of this story-don’t ship an engine in a cardboard box via any carrier.
