What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Exhausted after 8hrs packing up and moving.

 

Went from 33/12.5/20 to 285/75/16 stock rims and ride is soooo much better and smoother. On a 3in lift

 

What lift are you using?

 

Finished Avalon King ceramic coating...

 

If anyone wants to trade another cement bumper cover with me, before you cut yours for an aftermarket bumper-let me know.

 

How hard to install?

 

Very easy following the provided instructions. Took me maybe 45 minutes to an hour simply because I wanted to get them adjusted nicely and tied all the excess wiring up. The instructions are very clear, nothing hard about it.

You do need a weatherpack crimoer for the terminals they give you. I’m not sure why they don’t terminate them. They are plug and play once you terminate them. You also need to test the fog wiring to make sure you put your wires in the correct spots on the connectors. For me I needed power to line up with the green wire and negative to the black and white stripe.

 

Hahaha Right?! I do all the pigging in the area I work in, and look after all that jazz.

 

Mind if I ask how much those cost? Really interested in good amber fogs.

Added the anytime camera kit. Very cool, but what a pain to fish those wires behind the dash!
Also coated all my suspension bits in anticipation of heading to Tahoe. Not really concerned about rust in California, but I like to make the silver sparkle. Planning to hit Ellis peak and Buck Lake trails this weekend.

 

How frequently are you changing that fluid?

 

I'll probably do it on 30K intervals. I'm only at 7K miles but I read the Motorcraft was better than stock and stock fill usually has break in metal in it so I figured I may as well start by doing the swap now to freshen it up. I'll likely do it every 30K from now on, and probably diffs at the same time.

 

Well wife is home with the Vid so I can't go to work either. Washed and waxed this morning, and tonneau cover I ordered arrived just as I was finishing. Oil change tomorrow.

And got dimmable backlight working on the Anytime camera switch. From camera switch tapping into ECT switch, blue goes to green and grey goes to tan.

 

That pop up is bad ass
