Im just debating if I really want to keep this mod bug going. Cause once I start, it wont stop. And thats the reason why I bought a truck. Lol

But, to me. If you cant walk out into a parking lot, and be like...thats my truck... then its time to start personalizing it.

2x on that one, the mod bug bit me the day I bought mine, ordered my cold air intake before I got the truck home.

Yeah you are more that welcome to bring her. I think Kate is coming so there will be another girl there so shes isn't the only one. Let me know if you get a quad b/c then I will bring mine. Now that I have a cap I'll have to put the trailer on to bring mine down.

Thats great! You get the 5100's and the AAL? You think you will have it done by next week?

Quad wise will do. The girls cousin owns a couple also, so trying to get them too.

Yea, I got school Tues/Thurs. So if they come in on Wednesday or something. ill try to get them done.

I work at a shop with air and lifts, with a key. So thats no problem to stay late and get it done.

Ordered 5100 from DSM and Toyo Tech 2in AAL and 1/4" Taco Lean spacer

That is the exact same setup I have minus the 1/4 lean spacer. You will be really happy with the outcome. Just make sure you get a good alignment shop to do the alignment. It took me 4 times to get it right.

where did you finally get a good one, at a dealership or somewhere else? the local dealership here did mine after my lift but i am not sure they took it far enough. there's still some camber in the front that i have not seen on other trucks with setups similar to mine.

I took it to Tire Discounters after Bob Summeral couldn't do it correctly. I gave them the specs that I wanted the alignment to be at and they told me since it was a lifted vehical that it would cost $100 to get it done. They assured me that they would get it to the specs that I gave them. When I picked it up they told me something that controlled the alignment was frozen and they had to put a torch to it to free it up. I'm sure that Bob Summeral didn't feel like putting the extra work into getting it done right and gave up.

now that i think about it, i would bet my life on that some of my parts are frozen/seized as well. i know it was hell just trying to get things loosened in the first place to install my lift...

Day before install. Spray things down with PB blaster. Makes life easier.

Also, TIGHTEN bolts a 1/4 turn before loosening them. Sometimes helps also,

That is what I eventually had to do and honestly a few places didn't want to bother with it.

Front set at the second setting highest 1.75 but if I had to do it over again I probably would have them set at .80. When I tow I ride high in the front and would rather be level when towing. But thats just me.

The rear AAL is really easy to put on as long as you have a friend helping. Make sure you have some big C-Clamps to combine the AAL to the leaf pack. It makes like much easier.

If I remember correctly it was one of my centrics??? I have no idea what that is or what it does but they said it was completely frozen.

Centric bolts. Its a bolt with a circle welded thats offset. So as it spins, it controls angles.

SOME WHAT LIKE THIS This is a type of one.

Yes I am sure it is something like that. I'm just glad they were able to get it done right. I was about to give up have have them put it back to stock.

I am thinking about some new wheels (decided not to paint mine). I love the old school look of white rims from the toyotas of the 80's, so I did a quick 'shop. Opinions?
