Little upper I finished up and finally got to take out. I'm 100% jumping on the lightweight 14.5 train.

    Aero upper
Faxon pencil 14.5" pinned with their low profile 3 port break
    Faxon BCG
    SLR Adjustable gas block
    Daniel Defense SLiM Rail 12.0
    Olight Odin
    Diamondhead ploy flip ups
Strike Industries FDE dust cover, forward assist & charging handle
    Vortex Crossfire on DD mount

Geissele Super 42 H2 and that SLR backed down a couple notches it shoots as soft as any gun I own.

For the .223 wylde build. Decided to keep the existing 16 inch upper intact. Had $40 in PA bucks and was already going to replace the handguard so basically another $50 out of pocket and turn it into a new separate upper.

BCM handguards on sale for $160 right now too. Absolutely love their mcmr handguard

And spare BCG and bolt came in the other day

I love a nice lightweight build. I’ve got a 16” faxon gunner profile barrel on one of my rifles and I love how it lightens up the front end.

Government profile barrels just feel heavy and cumbersome after getting used to the lighter barrel. My 16” rifle build still weighs less than my buddy’s 10” pistol.

I wasn’t going to use the attachments they provided. May get an Arisaka Mount for light later.

Just received my ADM high mount and Trijicon TR24 green triangle reticle scope today. Earlier I went by Midwest industries to grab a 9.25 quad rail to build a 10.3. Barrel should be here tomorrow and everything will be assemble and ready for the weekend.

Build it around one of the new Vortex 1-8x FFP Strike Eagles. That's probably what I'm doing with a stripped 16" BCM/LMT combo I'm sitting on.

This didnt get any traction in the firarms BS thread so ill try here. Just making sure that I’m not crazy(which is very possibly that i am.) The optic in question is a Trijicon MRO, which is a reflex sight. I cannot get better that a 6-7” group at 50yds in two range trips trying to zero. The first range trip to zero was shooting off bags and the second was shooting from a gun rest, at which time is when I noticed the dot does not hold point of impact when my eye is moving around looking through the optic. This is not supposed to change point of impact correct? Below in the video, I hold the optic stationary against a window with the dot pretty centered on an outdoor light bulb socket approximately 4 feet away. As i move the camera around to simulate head/eye movement, you can see that as the dot moves around but, the dot does not hold point of impact and barely stays on the 2”x1-1/2” black light bulb socket. Have I lost my mind or is this optic not functioning correctly?
