Awesome! I’ve got work then prepping the rig for the Rubicon in two weeks. Hopefully they open it soon after. Thank you for the work you’re putting in to help make that happen

@Drtgrl or @nDub does 5N06 connect all the way through from Hell's Half acre, to the Donnell dam and then up to 108?

MVUM shows it does, but I'm wondering if you've had eyes on that.

I’ve never seen the gate open at Donnell dam. Always had to turn around and go back out 5n09x

    Well that sucks lol

I'm wanting to do a lot more exploring on that side (to Highway 4) of 108 this year. I was going to start with the 5N09X 5N06 area.

My dumb ass should have asked the Forest Service guys I was with on Saturday about 5N06 :notsure:

That way if they told me the gate was closed I could have asked them why lol

Tridam operates that gate near the dam I’m pretty sure.

I talked to someone who made it around on a motor cycle last summer. So I know it connects but I’m not sure how well…

My brother and dad just took a trip down hells half acre and across the bridge and on to 4 and said there’s a lot to explore. I didn’t make that trip though due to family commitments.

Hey 209, I could use a recommendation. I need some front end suspension work done, namely respring front end from 650 to 700 and install ECGS bushing and seal. Maybe swap uniball joints for deltas. I'm looking for a reputable shop or individual to do the work near Stockton or Jackson. I did the initial suspension install myself a couple of years ago and its been fine, but this go around someone with some experience and suggestions would be surely welcome. I've got full skid plates and sliders and have been running 33's with only a wee rubbing occasionally. Figure I better sort my shit before I add a bumper.

Gunna toss this out there... Looking for volunteers to help me on Saturday 6/25.

I'm going to do a body lift on the truck... Yes, I said body lift, just 1 inch.

Need extra sets of hands, cause the process is gunna be pretty time consuming alone. I've put this off. Other people being envolved will increase the odds I actually do it.

Everything that was on the agenda for 6/25 is now on the agenda for 7/2... It was WAY too f'n hot to try to do anything last weekend. I'm going to rip most of the front end apart tomorrow night when I get home.

    @theesotericone

On the cam tab eliminators, I'm looking to set as much forward caster as possible. I'm assuming that means I want the plates oriented where the hole is to the inside of the truck on the front of the LCA, and the hole oriented to the outside of the truck on the back of the LCA.

Also, I think I saw you say after the eliminators, you set your SPC UCAs to setting E? Is that correct?

Yes. Rears outboard, fronts inboard. Then dial in camber with the SPC's. I only set mine to E because my tires are huge for a 35" tire. Like 35 1/4" at 30 PSI with the weight of the vehicle them. I had to move towards the firewall to get as much clearance as I could to not rub the top of the inner fenders. If you have 33's leave it at F. That will push you away from the firewall plenty and there's no way those tires ever touch the inner fender.

    Right on

For now I'm on 33s. But one way or another I'd like to be on 35s by next month - Rubicon
