Yeah, one of these days I'm going to open it. I plan on making a small batch of Poor Mans Pappy with some of that and some Antique 107. Just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Hopefully the bottle hasn’t been sitting for years, had a bad experience with that once lol.

My Weller cup runneth over. I keep an eye out for them and don't pay crazy secondary. Been able to get a few bottles over the years. In the meantime I migrated to Scotch and Japanese. I'll get to them eventually.

The guy I traded with just posted a story on another forum that he went to some kind of sponsored event at a restaurant and they raffled off a Rip Van Winkle 10. His wife picked the winning ticket and it was his.

I’ll be honest, my ability to describe my tastes and my taste in general is still new. I enjoyed it though, but not sure if that’s my brain telling me to enjoy it because Of the cost.

nah I doubt that, people in nyc can afford far more than I can

Got a friend coming into town for July 4. Has just started dipping his toes into whiskey (metaphorically), just Scotch at this point.

I'm gonna send him home after his visit with a few travelin gifts. He's had Glenfiddich and Monkey Shoulder and is completely bourbon ignorant.

I was thinking a Glenmorangie 10 Original for his next step up on the Scotch ladder and some Evan Williams BiB as a bourbon introduction.

    Thoughts/votes/nominations?

$25 because it wasn't a full pour, and killed the bottle. Think regular was $36. Usually this is outrageous to me but we were in the city on a very rare date night, and wifey was like go for it lol

That’s insane. That’s more than half of what I paid for a full bottle.

That's NYC for you. Don't ask what a paid for a pack of M&M's and a jack and coke double at Radio City.
