What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

The plan for now is get a 3"/2" leveling kit. The 1.5" coil spacers in the front should reduce the rake as a daily driver and roughly level it while towing on the weekends.

Yeah I got one of those I was just being lazy and didn't even lay down cardboard lol. Also the hose slipped out a couple times which flung oil everywhere. I'm a shit show sometimes. (who am i kidding most of the time)

 

I got the same one. No issues and love it.

 

Installed an Amazon special catch can. @140k miles not sure if it'll help or not but eases my mind a lil.

 

I’d move the inlet hose up and over the master cylinder, otherwise oil will just start collecting in the lowest point. For the outlet it’s not a big deal really

Finally installed my tow hitch after the por-15 treatment. Should’ve gotten new bolts but they were still usable. If I had the time, I’d take this truck apart and por-15 everything..

 

Just packed it out for the weekend! Going to test out the new King setup.

 

Man this sucked... BAMF hangers. I'll install my new leafs/ BAMF shackles tomorrow, I'm over it. Thankfully I borrowed my friends compressor and bought an air hammer. Worst install by far but I'm excited to feel the improvement

Please report back on any ride quality improvements, people swear somehow these and the hammer hangers improve ride quality..

 

How does the shift knob come off? Just unscrew?

Idk what it is, but drivers just keep getting worse. My 4 Hella horns dont seem to have the same impact anymore, so I'm just going to start telling them via loudspeaker how I wish their dad had pulled out the same way they just pulled out in front of me in traffic

 

I did the hammer hangers and it is the best improvement in ride quality I made to the truck. Wish I would have done it from the very beginning. The hassle installing them is well worth the reward.
