I tried to ride year round once haha, did pretty well until late winter and dumped my sabre in a snowbank. I've gotten lazy though, I ride in fair weather and I wish this GoldWing was a Valkyrie model cause I don't need the back seat, I won't carry passengers. But theyre just such good bikes, I love riding it

 

And according to that one picture, it has a CD player?!?!

 

Yessir haha, it's hiding in the floor of the compartment behind the seat back. My Dad's has the NAV unit there (his is a 2014)

 

Ok, we get it, you need a break from oil. Let's freshen things up...spark plugs!...anti-seize anyone?

 

I hope it's got anti-skip; Can't imagine a CD player is very well cushioned from shitty roads on a motorcycle...

 

The rear on a Goldwing is electronically adjusted hydraulic ride. You can change the preload to make it softer or harder, so it rides pretty cushy but yeah the whole unit is on some springs and probably has robust anti skip.... I dunno I used the aux in that's in the fairing, I don't have audio CDs anymore

Yup looks about right. I change the one in the Rav4 yearly and mine every other year.

 

The rings are probably a bit worn. I wouldn't sweat it. Check the oil once a week.....after it's been sitting for awhile (engine off) on a level surface. Add accordingly if needed.

Had an encounter with one of those annoying "buy American" types at a cruise night just now; You know, the type of person who thinks that it is somehow unpatriotic to own a Toyota?



Nowhere near as bad as the guy at Carlisle last August who called me a "fucking commie" for having an American flag license plate on the front of my truck, but he literally said that he didn't want to send Japan money that could be going into the American economy; Don't these ignoramuses realize that Tacomas have never been built in Japan, and that most of them were built in American factories by American workers?!?!

 

Toyota builds a superior product, as do Honda and Nissan; I saw a UK-spec Toyota Supra at a car show last Sunday. Have you ever seen UK-spec Fords being imported into America under the 25-year loophole?!?!

 

Ya can't fix stupid, and you can't do much with asshole either..

I usually just respond by saying “Well I guess you do have point there.”
Then walk away. I don’t actually care what the point was, but they think I do.
