I believe the tracker used VSPEC. Toyota seems to have dumped VSPEC, for some reason, so the tracker won't work.

Hey @Rod03, I've had lots of notices the last two days, at your convenience, can you punch in my VIN and see if it's still in Baja sucking on margarita's on the beach or if it's made it's way on to a train. VIN: 3TMCZ5AN6NM512473. Thanks brother and a beer on me is heading your way; although I think a good bourbon would be a better choice. Lol

What the other person said. Dealers get allotments couple times a month. They can be upfront about what is coming in exactly the spec. But Toyota is not taking specific orders. I got lucky i have 4 dealers letting me know what they have coming in. I was looking for a TRD off road premium. My dealer sent me a text saying that they didn't get any of those allotted two weeks ago. I responded thank you and also told him that a TRD pro version would be a dream but I know how rare and hard to get they are. He texted me right back and asked me if I would take one with the manual transmission. I texted him hell yes then he called me and sent the exact spec sheet. Happened by accident but I reserved it now the wait. Good luck hope you find what you are looking for.

Allocation is the key word... nobody can order one... you hope your dealer has one allocated to them with the specs you want... slim chance. take what you can get is the way they see it..

on Reddit if you search "toyota allocation spreadsheet" there's someone who has the allocation data for certain vehicles... dunno if something like this exists for Tacoma's? maybe they can generate one for the Tacoma

    Itz JDM tyte, yo!
    Are you talking about this?

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/tacoma-inventory-spreadsheet.714583/

There's a link that would automatically update each day after several outdated Google spreadsheets.

It takes data off the inventory Toyota's website has.

Edit: wrong. This gives data about trucks already shipped to the dealer

Went thru this a year ago when I got my 4runner. Actually dug enough found out what boat it was on. I actually was guessing but ended up being right. It was a month from the allocation to delivery. It's a great car but I traded in a gmc sierra all terrain for it thinking I could get by with a suv instead of the tacoma. I should have done tacoma mostly because hauling things like gas cans propane tanks in the back of my 4runner is not the best idea. Also really want a manual transmission. I had similar thoughts but all ended well. The dealer had my 4runner listed as pending sale during transit then when it landed they took pending sale off the web site. Really thought they were going to sell it to someone else but salesman assured me that it had my name on it. These are crazy times and I am sure they wish they had it asap for you. Good luck

No thats something else... from digging around reddit it appears the toyota server was accessed too much at one time and sort of crashed... hopefully all those trackers/spreadsheets/etc come back at some point

Well I just got word last Wednesday, my truck is on the barge out of San Diego to arrive on Maui 7/6/22.
I placed my order with Maui Toyota at the end of October.
I'm pretty sure I would have gotten it sooner if it had been a ubicudous OR DBLC 4X4.
    I ordered a Unicorn/ AC SPORT AT 4X4 w/ LED headlight package.
    Only took 8 months
My sales person told me the most anyone had to wait was 10 months.
Anyway I will be SUPER STOKED, my birthday is the day after it arrives.
I'll post some pics when I get it home

Sadly, this seems to be the norm, for me also, for over 12 months now. I started throwing my name down on waitlists everywhere in the state after getting screwed out of a truck multiple times.
    • Sales reps have communicated extremely poorly. The majority of my calls and texts are never returned.
    • Sales reps have switched positions (gone to finance) or left the dealership entirely without any communication. As a result, no one called me when trucks matching my requirements came into their allocation.
    • My placement on waitlists seems to sporadically change without warning or reasonable explanation. For example, the exact build I requested (and was on a waitlist for) landed at two different dealerships, and both times, was sold to someone else even though I was supposedly "next on the list".
    • After being on a waitlist at a dealer in SoCal for a few months, a rep called to let me know a truck matching my requirements showed up in their allocation, but the Sales Manager had suddenly decided to add a $10k lift, wheel, and tire package to it (this was ~6 months ago when inventory was even more scarce).
    • Then, most recently, the first dealer that took my name down on a waitlist (over 12 months ago) finally called me to say they have the perfect truck reserved for me, but Toyota would be deleting BSM and likely RCTA from all the trucks in their allocations for the next 2+ months...
I feel like I can't win...Or maybe the universe is trying to tell me I shouldn't buy a Tacoma right now.

    This is correct
You might want to bail. I had to do the same when the dealer I bought from wouldn’t provide updates. I would follow up every two weeks, so I don’t think that was too crazy… They had initially told me the vehicle was expected in 1-2 weeks.

Call around and maybe you can snag one that a customer backs out on. I called more dealerships than I would like to admit and there have been more calls for customers backing out than I would have expected. Anyways, good luck moving forward.

Truck was build on 06/28, it has not move yet. I do like a glass of bourbon here and there, but I am a light weight when it comes to liquor. Lol
