Security in the bed

Hey all,
I'm having the hardest time finding a picture describing this. My truck doesn't have the "pocket" tie-down points in the corners, instead it has the loops that are screwed into the inside wall of the bed, at all four corners. What are those called?? The only picture i can find is this, from a bedliner site:



Anyways, reason I'm asking is that I'm trying to find a way to secure a ramp in my truck. I was caught off-guard this week when I saw a friend on the road whose bike had stalled. He needed a lift home that I would have gladly given but I didn't have a ramp with me >:-( I would like to store a cheap ramp in my truck all the time in case that happens again.

All the cable and chain locks I find are way too big to fit through that ring. Any suggestions? I've seen some cool locking mechanisms for those pocket anchor points, it sucks that i dont have the pockets, otherwise I'd just get one:

how bout just regular lock and a chain or cable?

 

if your saying you wanna lock a cable to the stock D-Ring but cant find a cable that threads through the gap thats not the best place to be theft proof...

you can easily unbolt the d-ring and walkaway with the ramp...if you welded one on this would work.

(unless your just trying to keep honest people honest...then its a good deterrent I suppose)

 

how about a cable bike lock?

 

A standard lock would fit through that ring. Then just run the cable ends or chain to the lock. You're nicer than me, I wouldn't carry a ramp around all the time for the off chance I'd come across a buddy whose bike had stalled out on him. Most dirt bikes and some sport bikes can be lifted into the bed of a truck with 2 people, especially if you can find a ditch or something to make it less of a lift.

You could always find a hill with some sort of "ramp" at the bottom and roll the bike down the hill in nuetral and jump it into the back of the truck It would be the cool and hardcore thing to do. Rolling it up into the back on ramps is for pussies.

It was only a matter of time until someone made that correlation...

 

Just use a cable lock and a regular Master Lock. That is how I have a full size spare locked in the back of my bed. You can get it at Home Depot or almost any hardware store.
