Made it to the beach. Little rain on the way. Yes, the wipers were on

She didn’t think she was that close to him. They both learned a lesson.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Being 6 years old I still had respect for older people so I accepted this as religion doctrine and the truth .

Looking for some ideas in case I've missed the blindingly obvious... Replacing the thermostat in the Rambler, and the threads on the lower stud (red circle) are wasted beyond use. There's no room to get a stud remover or thread chaser/die on the stud. I can pull either the water pump or the head (9both are easy, but I'm lazy....) if I have to, but was hoping to avoid it. I'm thinking just weld a nut to it and turn it out (hopefully), but just wondering if there were any easy options I've missed.

If your welding a nut would you not remove the hose and belt?

My first go to would be the torch and vise grips after soaking overnight. Then a welded on nut

A great excuse to buy one of those induction heaters for things like this.

No way to get a stud remover on that, I'd go with welding the nut.

Is that a vacuum booster fuel pump lurking over there on the left? Vacuum wipers - good old days.

I had maybe the last car built in the world with them - 71 Gremlin, 232 six with a Borg-Warner automatic that didn't have reverse when cold and a 2.37 axle with A78 13" tires. I put H78 14 tires on it -- when the speedometer indicated 60 you were going about 70 and it was really challenged climbing hills after that.

These are about the equal to the old alpha numeric tire sizes.

Some time could you please snap a higher resolution picture?
Don't think it is a Huber, all of them of similar age seem to have very distinctive wheels and don't have the exposed steering shaft on the road side.

    huber-roller_orig.jpg

Some old Galion machines appear to have similar wheels but are also lacking the exposed steering shaft.

They both need replacing, so not really concerned... Hmmm... I could use an induction heater (I don't have one, so I must need one, right?)...
It is... turbo-wipers going downhill... nothing going up!

Agree, definitely not either a Huber or an Adams... Galion seems a good choice!

My very good friend out on Monkey Mtn tells me the scriptures say our pets give reports on us when they get to heaven. I like to believe that's true...it might be my best shot at getting in at this point. ;)

Sure can do! I actually got that picture out of the window of a moving truck, I’m surprised it’s as good as it was, but I’ll get some close ups soon as I can.

North Carolina has so many built Yotas. I wonder if my truck would be considerably more valuable up here. Gm and Ford's are in the vast minority. It's great to see.
