Hey! Just saw this thread. I'm a bit if a built not bought kinda guy. Currently wearing my latest mod. It's kind of a milgauss homage. Seiko nh35 movement on a black explorer style case at 36mm. Took the movement from a broken cased Invicta. Been enjoying so far. Will continue to put up the rest of the creations I've made over time.

Ive been looking into seiko modding lately myself. Right now my hurdle is I only want to build it if I can use what I have in mind for the dial and im having a hard time finding a machine shop to make it. Thatsa damn good looking watch and I like the milgauss idea.

I've been rocking this EcoDrive for 15 years. I like my watches like I like my trucks and bikes, clothes, etc.; used, but not abused. I only take it off when it could be a hazard. It's got a Timex band and the watch body and glass themselves are as scratched as all get out, with a few nicks around the edge. The EcoDrive is a great system, and this watch is on its second capacitor. If yours stops keeping time, but has been receiving light (the second hand will only move every 2 seconds) you probably need a new capacitor. Happens about every 10 years. Not overly complicated to change.
I preferred the 1/5 second 12hr Chrono on my titanium Seiko, but that met an untimely (heh) demise.

Here's another one I've had built for a while. I've done everything with this build. Modeled after the Seiko 6105 which I hope to own or it's equivalent SPB151. This watch is constantly seeing changes and will probably continue to change. Using a tandorio case with nh35 movement. Hands are from ebay not sure what to call them.

Any opinions (good or bad) on Pagani Design watches?
    Anyone have them?

I picked up the below one from the zon on the cheap (app 70) it has a
Hattori Japan Quartz Watch Movement VD55 so its no automatic but seems to be specd nicely for the coin...
I believe these are related to or made by Seiko
I know many others are autos with Seiko nh35 movements and such...

That band has got to go!! Not sure what's going on in its place though... any recommendations??

This is a Chinese watch company that base their designs on more popular brands. Their quality is good, especially compared to some other Chinese brands. This model looks to be designed similar to the Omega Seamaster Chrono.

Thought I'd bust out the Seagull for a day...my son dropped it when playing with the chronograph. Cracked the crystal...Still a beautiful watch IMO.

So I received my Pagani Design “Omega seamaster” (?) homage/copy model # PD1713, generally good thoughts about it overall and it’s spec”d very nicely for the $$.

the bracelet is nice but I am swapping it out with something for a better look (at least to me)

Uses the Hattori aka Seiko VD55 quartz movement so not automatic. Which you’d not really expect for $71.00 OTD price. Still it’s a great long lasting movement.

    https://www.leosics.co.uk/seiko-vd55-quartz-watch-movement.html (movement info)

100m water resistant which is kinda bs but every manufacturer does this
Screw down crown but chrono pushers are not

    Ceramic bezel (works well also)
    Sapphire Crystal
Watch Dial Case Diameter: 42 mm
Watch Dial Case Thickness: 14 mm
    Watch Band Width: 20 mm
    Watch Band Length: 220 mm
    Watch Weight: 154 g

    PROS
Specs are pretty awesome for $$
    Nicely built mostly (see below)
Looks way nicer than the price

    CONS
**Some sharp (ish) edges on bracelet, Will take time effort to buff/file those down could cause irritation if not
    Reports of inconsistent quality control
    Luminescence is so so.
Bracelet uses pins not screws but remember it’s 70 bux.

Swapped out for a NATO band on my BB58. Really liking how light it feels on my wrist now.

Guess I'm just cheap. The last watch I had stayed within a few seconds of WWV for five or six years, without resetting. Had an old stainless band from a previous watch that I used with it. Cost $17 as I recall. Replaced it with another Casio with a similar band. Accuracy is more important to me than status.
