I completely understand 99% of what you wrote. My online presence is locked down for that reason and d/t my profession. The 1%: If I saw your license plate, apart from knowing which state you were in, how could I use that information to track you down (assuming I’m not a cop, etc.)?

 

I don't know about the US, but here in Ontario, Canada, our service Ontario's (I think it's called the DMV in the US) is actually a privately owned business with access to the ministry of transportation. So if I was a bandit that knew someone that worked there, or knew the owner, they could potentially give that information. I agree it's a crazy world out there... Just gotta be the best human beings we can

 

There are ways, for sure, some of them completely legal too.

How do they feel? What have you noticed? Are they always engaged- pic makes it looked engaged at rest.

 

That pic is a bad angle, they’re not always engaged. They are maybe 1/4” from touching on the inside. I just made a quick trip around town and haven’t noticed any difference yet.

 

There are websites that for a fee you can do a plate lookup and find out the information in question. Heck, you can often track someone down with just a photo search these days.

 

Swapped out the tail lights for a set of OEM pro lights. Getting rid of that little bit of chrome makes me feel a lot better.

The stock tails are up for sale if anyone needs a set.

 

So this all wasn’t today, but it was this week! Firstly installed the stinger heigh10 to replace my severely outdated entune unit. Install wasn’t that hard outside of working through the massive amount of wiring they send you. Not to mention this screen is massive compared to my old 5 inch screen.



Then I installed the ARB twin compressor with the SLEE off-road mount. It’s tight quarters but man this thing mounts up tight! The worst part once again was wiring on this but only bc I used a CH4x4 switch instead of the supplied ARB switch.







And lastly I popped in a throttle grenade and called it a week!

 

I installed a front camera on my 2021 using a bracket that I 3D printed. Took me 5 tries to get the bracket right, about .25 in filament each print. About 45 minute each print.

 

Have a link to that head unit? Very cool- also does it retain maintenance section?

 

so for me I maintained everything except lock controls and the beep volume. Whatever you have it set as once the old unit is removed it what will remain. It will just depend on your particular head unit what is lost.
