My aunt is a trip. She’s 77 and last night we were talking about everywhere she’s traveled too. She mentioned one country and said “that’s the place I got the tattoo on my butt, yes, I have a butterfly on my butt”:rofl::rofl:

I understand Asheville isnt everyone's cup of tea and I get that but we like coming up for a night or two and eating and drinking things we've never heard of. Turns out the good junk is harder to find.

The electric is a Sebring-Vanguard CitiCar produced from 1974-77, made in Florida.

At the opposite end of the scale the heavy iron looks to be a 1957 Cadillac.

Mrs. Green came home from town today, I could see her struggling with the rear driver door of her car so went over to offer my assistance. She started right off telling me it had been giving her trouble all day, I cycled the electric lock button and everything seemed fine.

A few minutes later we came back out to the car and again the door was locked, I cycled the locks again while observing closer this time. She took the recycling today and rather than put it in the cargo compartment (Subaru wagon) she put it in the back seat -- girl logic - don't go there. She had a tall hamper type thing leaning against the door...

The lock is a flipper type of thing, when unlocked it sticks out, when locked it turns flush -- the electric actuator would unlock it fine and I could see the flipper thing push against the hamper. When she shut the door the hamper would lock it.

I showed her (politely) what was going on -- all was well...

Until I leaned over, putting my hand on her shoulder and softly said --
-- "it must be rough being a girl"...
    .
    ..
    ...
    ....
    .....
And then she hit me.

I remember articles about them in Popular Mechanics and Mechanics Illustrated when they were new. They also had articles to build your own.

Usually when she hits me I say "go ahead, hit me with your bony little fist!" -- Sometimes I get a second one.:rofl:

    Revenge is better served cold!

In the olden days a Rolling pin or Cast Iron Frying Pan in these modern times I hear tell of Super Glue.

    Please be careful.

Good eye Rusty, I glazed over the Caddy because it was either a hearse or next to a hearse and that ain't my bag.

Had quite the rain this afternoon. Lots of thunder and lightning. Hoping no fires start because of it. I was using my wheelbarrow right before it started raining, forgot to put in under cover and it’s currently just shy of overflowing. :facepalm:We definitely need all the rain we can get here in California.

Whew! Long day fellers. Worked on the Corvette from 8 this morning until 7 PM. First put the blower motor back in, then tidy up some wiring, then the bolted flywheel on, clutch, pressure plate, bell housing. Then trying to get the transmission stobbed in there was a real bear! Finally got it together and went to install it...oh I had to put motor mounts on engine and transmission mount too. Snake the headers up in there and tie out of the way, then the engine wouldn't go back far enough to lower into place. Seemed a little unconventional but we snaked the engine in from the side. About kick our butts. We kept at it though, and finally! Then I mow for 2.5 hours, just finished. 20220702_182657.jpg 20220702_184734.jpg
