    The gearing makes sense to compensate for the smaller engine. I think if I were at a lower altitude and wasn't constantly going through the mountains I wouldn't feel so pressed for lower gearing.

    Keeps the turning radios sharp at least. And the fit is pretty awesome without having the pinch welds hammered. Still get a little rub

    I would love 35's but I think 33's and a front locker would get me into plenty of places I don't need to be

    255/85/16 shouldn't need much work.

    I ran 235/85/16 Falken Wildpeaks on the Tacoma and never had rubbing issues.

    And though I ran 255/85/16 on the 4Runner (wheels are pushed forward anywhere from half an inch or more), a lot of people run them on Tacomas.
