    Hey Guys, about 2 months ago had my truck tuned by Allan(Master Yota), ended up getting the OTT7.0 with the mild/medium setup and absolutely love it. After driving a bit though I feel since it's available I wanted to go to the medium/spicy and since 8.0 is out might as well upgrade to that as well. Unfortunately haven't really been able to connect with Allan, i know he's a super busy guy and I was wondering if since he get me the original tune, is he the only guy that can support my issues/upgrades/etc without a cost or how does that work? I've honestly just recently started having some weird jumping/acceleration issues and i have no clue if they are related to the tune or not but i wanted to bring that up to him also but we just cant seem to connect.

    Anybody have any ideas or suggestions or what i can do?

    Thanks guys!

    So, my main question at this point.., which cruise work okay?
    Mine seems to "lose the tune" after using the cruise(old OVTUNE).
    Reflash, all better each time.
    Truck sees road trips from New England to South Texas, so, getting cruise back would be great...

    But, I'm about ready to pull the trigger and by a tune if it can be tweaked...

    As in mild/ and some sort of tow(enclosed trailer for my bikes, which doesn't warrant my 1ton).

    I believe at this point with latest updates from Mat Wilson both OTT and KDMAX is reporting good reviews from Normal and Adaptive cruise control.
    I tested KDMAX Pro + XT on both functions and it is definitely affected by current tunes in a positive way. Still not quite as good as cruise off but it doesn’t have all the extreme gear shifting as before.

    I've read this thread beginning to end, and don't recall seeing discussion about: Is there a learning phase for this tune?

    Had mine done recently (OTT 8), mild flavor. Throttle is incredibly jerky at low speeds, it's either coasting or bucking.

    Did a 350mi road trip on mostly flat highway, kept around speed limit of 70mph (65 in some sections), no traffic, tires were at 35f/33r, no load/no passengers, AC the entire time and ~90* outside. Lost over 2mpg on this trip, which I've done several times before. 19.7mpg this time, usually does around 22.x mpg.

    <EDIT>
    I'll try to be specific about the jerky throttle: Our suburban area has a lot of 20, 25, 35mph streets; then some 45mph. When I leave my house, or when I'm returning to it, I have a slight grade and the speed limit is 20mph. I take a left off my street into this slight grade. "Feathering" the throttle up this short grade results in the truck moving, then it's almost as if throttle drops out or power goes to nil. Then it comes back on, rinse, repeat.

    [I try to always go 20 bc our weirdo frickin' neighbors will scream or post on FB about anyone going over speed limit. Sad people.]

    When I go down to the main street, there's a substantial grade for 1/2 mile whether I turn left or right; but the speed limit is 45mph. Here, if I put my foot into it to get up to speed, it makes me grin. Pulls beautifully.

    Another street I travel frequently has a 35mph speed limit, and a steep, long grade and pretty consistent traffic. Here again, part throttle is required as many ppl drive 35. I get that same off/on throttle sensation.

    As best I can describe it: light/part throttle is not smooth.
    </EDIT>

    For anyone on the fence... here is a review from a frustrated owner today with a stock tacoma. Loved the truck but sick of the problems. OTT fixed that!

    Who tuned your truck? Do you have any other mods stacked with the tune like a throttle controller/pedal commander? This is very atypical feedback especially for the latest version.

    *Edited to add we found record of your recent tune. So all good there and sounds like you’ve been in touch with your tuner. If needed he can get a custom throttle version lighter than lite.

    I have no other mods. 265/75r16 Toyo AT3 SL, Talon's Garage cat converter skid plate - that is all. Truck is bone stock otherwise except for a sticker on the back window. I will PM you details of the tuning.

    For everyone running OTT 7.0 (hoping up upgrade to 8.0 soon) A/T with 265/70r17's and is really just a daily driver. Don't ever tow anything and just occasional off-roading, i am curious what tune you guys found best to go with? Mild/Medium or Medium/Spicy? I am currently running mild/medium which i dont necessarily have complaints about but im just thinking to myself since i paid for a tune to get some extra power out of my truck should I just go up to the medium/spicy or stay where im at?

    The power delivery on the latest update (8.0) is smoother than before. I would definitely try the medium/spicy when you get your update. :thumbsup:

    So OTT works with and improves performance with adaptive cruise? I'm interested in getting a tune but would REALLY REALLY like to get adaptive cruise improvements. Love the feature but the execution is pretty bad by Toyota. Mainly looking for a smooth ride with more normal shifting behavior and not having to mash the throttle all the way down to get any response out of this thing. A bit of power, sportiness, or MPG improvements won't upset me either.
