Hope the best to everyone, today was the day. Didn't spend time taking pictures, left the dealership straight for the beach. Didn't have it detailed, have paint correction, ceramic and tint lined up for next week. And, @Rod03 a special thanks from all of us.

Pics don’t lie. We just happen to have gotten a driveway this bad. Thankfully we are only renting. I should take a pic from the front of the truck, it’s steep.

I get ice in the winter so I always think of how annoying that would be if the house shaded the driveway.

We get some ice here in North Carolina but it’s rare, snow is even more rare. And yes the driveway it’s annoying. That’s why I park the Tacoma backed in, otherwise the door would be always closing on you as you are getting out.

I've had my truck for about a week now and it's been so much fun having a bigger car that sits high up. Coming from a small, low sedan making 100hp, it's nice being able to get up to speed from a red light without having to push the car to 4500 rpm. Fuel economy isn't the best but who buys a truck for mpgs, right? Lol. So far I've added a tonneau cover and bed lights. Planning on doing tint in a few weeks then oem led headlights soon after that followed by remote unlock tail gate. I also felt extremely lucky not having to wait as long as most. Truck was allocated back in April but I put my name down on it on the first week of June, scheduled build on June 15th, actual build on the 17th, shipped and delivered only 5 days later on the 22nd from Baja to the bay area. It has the premium package, predator steps, black out badges, lug nut locks (don't care for this one) and it came out to 45k.

Edit: I can't get over the fact that I can remote start the truck with my phone all the way from my room. I know there are cars out there with much more advanced connective features but I'm coming from a car with the most basic stuff.

No you don’t. I put in an order for a Chevrolet 3/4 ton back in February. Found out last week that Chevrolet is not building any more CCLB for the year. I will now be waiting on a 2023 (probably higher priced). They don’t even start building them until July 18. I still have to wait on Chevrolet to except my order before they will build. So frustrating when you actually need the truck.

    Sounds pretty dang similar.
In my case I've been sitting on a "built" truck for a month now that hasn't even left the factory.

Who knows how long the truck will take to get built because it is based on the number of allocations at the dealership that you use. I chose the dealership I that am using because they honored the GM supplier discount that I get.

Finally picked mine up on Friday, built 5/17 and deposit placed on it a week later. Took almost exactly a month and a half, which is what my sales guy said the wait would be. Loving it so far, traded in an 86 for it so quite a change. Thanks @Rod03 and everyone here for all the reading while I waited.DB45DB2C-BDC3-4284-8477-834A0C13A369.jpg

@Rod03 would you please check if the truck made it to the port, also ETA to the dealer? On the App it shows it has some gas, tire pressure, doors open, and now it has 2 miles.

    Thank you in advance

Nothing wrong with the paint I've seen, actually was very nervous about the white. The rocker panels have a texturing on them but that's normal. The paint correction is just to fix any defects/swirls and give the smoothest finish possible for the coating to adhere.

I finally located a off-road DCSB in AG w/ manual.

Timeline (because when I was impatiently waiting for one I loved these posts):
May 5 put down a deposit
    Build date on May 18th.
    Built on May 18th
    Processed May 18th
Switched to Rail Depart on 5/19 ( I think I got lucky here)
Rail Arrived on June 7 (got unlucky and was placed in a damage hold)
It was radio silent for over 2 weeks. I called the dealership like twice a week or texted my salesman for updates. These things happen and so long as its damaged before it hits the truck to the dealership toyota themselves will fix it. I was aware of it so I could make the decision on my own depending on the damage and how the dealership would do something on their behalf to make me more comfortable with knowingly purchasing the vehicle after it was damaged in transit.
June 29th I got a call from my salesman stating that they finally heard word that Toyota was buying back the truck and they would remake it.
I was told they will get an allocation last Friday, July 1st.
On Thursday, June 30th, I had another salesman who I was working with reach out to me and let me know that he had a manual off-road DCSB in AG on the ground. It was 5:30pm and they closed at 6. They also had someone there test driving it. I told him to just update me if it sells that night because I couldn't get away from work.
Swapped schedules with a coworker so I could have the morning free to go buy the truck. My salesman got their early to secure the keys for our appointment. Went first thing in the morning and contracted on it.
Sold my car that same day at work
On Friday the 1st my salesman, who was awesome and I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone in the Denver, CO area (DM me as I still have a deposit for another off-road DCSB in Army Green w/ manual and maybe we could swap spots as I feel bad for not buying through my original salesman), let me know that they didn't receive any allocation and it could be Monday the 4th before he has a temp vin and build date.
I pick it up on Wednesday.

This has been an interesting experience. My car I just sold was hit and ran in my apartment complex parking lot and I lost about 1500 in value from it. My motorcycle also wont start.
I had the worst luck for about 2 weeks and all of my cars, current and future, were affected in some way. I had covid through it all too. I hope that nobody here has that sort of luck while anxiously waiting for their trucks. It will come. It would be another 2-3 months before I would get the original one I ordered. After dealing with all of that stuff I just wanted to move on. I took an L because of the hit & run. Luckily my car was somehow still worth 25% more than I paid for it with almost triple the mileage so I sent it before anything else bad happened to it.

I hope everyone here anxiously waiting, get their trucks with no issues. Shit happens sometimes, but eventually the grass will be army greener.
