Im running the CBI PreRunner bumper. Mounts to frame and is super solid… no like a “bro bar or bumper smasher”. There’s an optional winch mount kit for it (I don’t have).

Have not used one - however hearsay-evidence to their being 'pretty okay' abounds in my wheeling groups. Going straight? punch it fully-locked. That's the key with it, if I recall. Some folks don't like them because they aren't 100% locking at all times. Others will say your truck's arse-end will get loosey-goosey in the rain, on pavement. DetroitDarin says "full-send. Then let us know if we should get one too based on your $/time/effort" :D But I also think it's not a whole-lot more labor cost than an e-locker - just obviously $1k for the locker itself. Personally i'd keep saving to go e-locker. Probably never air-locker because I don't want on-board air.

I had one years ago in a Jerp XJ in the rear axle. It was a decent unit, similar to a "posi-trac" clutch type limited slip except it has no clutches, so no special additives to the gear lube, it never chattered going around corners. I can't remember ever fighting on snow covered roads. On the road you will never know it's there, off road it really helps. It didn't excel in deep mud or if you plan to do a lot of trail riding where one wheel will be in the air a lot, those are where a Detroit locker or an e/air locker will shine.

Sounds like you Boyz all have your...........NEWS FLASH! I started this the other day. Before picking up my Nieces two dogs Sat morning. When life as we know it disintegrated into a Bitch Fest unlike anything the world has ever seen! Deb got bit at least twice breaking up fights, and Igot bit but I'muse to it, so to speak. I will body slam a dog with a claw hand to the neck quick. But my nieces oldest, Mila was raised around us. From a puppy. Kona is a silly baby.

Our two could be their twins. Not in looks so much, as personalities.

It was fine previously, but yesterday was not right. Our oldest, Maizy has been stressed out with people testing their fireworks out all week.

So right now I'm sitting outside in the heat, because the signal in the house sux, and the neighbors are cooking on the grill.

I'm 20 min from my house. I may have to get Deb, who's home, to make me a to go box of chicken.

What we won't do for the ones we love. My niece went to OC for the night. She's coming home tonight. Thank God.

Watch it out there on the road today peeps. Left Bethany around 11:30 (Dewy Crush run, etc.), was a great drive from there to Millersville. From Millersville to home it was like somebody left the door to the asylum open.

It was a nice day to be up at Cunningham falls. I went from the lot where the road gets blocked off if someone is at camp David and went down to the Chimney rock and back. I got to start breaking in the new hiking boots. I have never been to the Chimney rock before, I'd love to go back and explore around the formation. I climbed on top of a rock, fighting off the vertigo, and clicked off a few pics.

I went to the GF's house afterwards to cut the grass and check up on the cats. Her neighbors are taking care of them while she is in Germany but I miss the Orange tabby, Clarence. He's about as 'anti-cat' attitude as you could get and still be a cat. He is so sociable it's weird but he has won me over. He definitely misses his "mom". She called while I was there, he heard her voice and jumped up on the sofa and was trying to knock the phone out of my hand while he was crying at her and rubbing his head on the phone. I calmed him down by sharing a piece of bacon that I brought for him.

Well boys and girls, after almost 10 years of owning the 4Runner I finally did the A/C drain extension. Had some old tranny cooler hose lying around and a hose clamp, so here’s how it turned out. Not pretty, but it works properly and is nice and secure. I dig it.

Also, more good news. It can be concluded that the Fumoto valve I was running was in fact the leaky suspect. It’s been 5 days with the new OEM drain plug in and no seeping or anything else is happening (knock on wood)

So I’m pretty stoked about that. I’ll continue to stick with this new high mileage full synthetic I’m running since I’ve got 315K on the clock, but I’m pretty happy about all of this and felt compelled to share. It’s things like this that always reinforce my decisions to run OEM parts and to trust and have confidence in them!
