No. With everything I read, I decided I wouldn’t need it for the 2in lift. I’ve drove it probably 100-150 miles since done. Drives great.

Putting my laser to work prototyping a new grille badge. I like the "TRD" badge, but I also like the heritage stripes. Decided to fire up the laser and make my own. Still working out the mounting. I will be putting this on my factory TRD Off Road grille.7E389D94-0727-4E2D-A401-3094EC0612E7.jpg

Nice....those were two of the first mods I did when I bought the truck a year ago. Oh and I've already used my roof top tent 5 times this year...and it just finally stopped raining around here. :D

RCI sliders, 18" bed rack, and skid plates are now on. Gave it a fresh wash and wax.

I may get rid of the transfer case skid and just keep the front two. Just need to grab traction boards and a hitch mounted shackle for the list to all be checked off.20220702_185311~2.jpg20220702_185141~2.jpg

Yay!!! 1. Fixed my condenser after someone drilled a hole in it (don’t ask how it happened, but I learned how to solder pinholes in them and no, you don’t always have to buy a new one like the radiator shops tell you!

    2. Installed an electric fan to help the AC blow colder when parked or driving slow (yup, that one had something to do with the hole in the condenser….)

    3. and installed a GMRS radio- it’s a Midland MXT275 micromobile- the main radio body is small enough to fit behind the dash below the head unit and the microphone has all the controls and display on it so its a really clean install. The orher radio shown is my dual band ham radio- with a remote display console. The main radio is in the bottom of my side cubby.

…don’t know who’s hand that is in the dash- creepy!!:goingcrazy:

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
Hit 30k by the lake after 68mo. Minime hit .30mi and the Microme hit 30yds.

Looks great! I put in the Midland MXT115 which I absolutely love! I wish I’d have done the radio you got instead though, cleaner all the way around. How long have you been a HAM? I’ve been considering getting my license.

I use a Glowforge. Had it for about a year now, and it's amazing what you can make with that thing!

I bet! Now I want one of those. My wife would probably rather me getting the 3D printer going first.

oh man, my first license was in the ‘90’s - Technician ever since. You should definitely get your Tech license- the dependability if reaching someone with 2-meter is so much better than GMRS- especially with so many repeaters available out there. Its pretty fun too!

Yeah I started to study for the test. My dad had his license years ago and still has a lot of the equipment. I think HAM will be the next logical step for me too!

Totally worth the effort. I did c.quartz and even when my truck is filthy it still shines like a mirror (see my profile pic, or my post 2 pages back).
