To mount the radio body, I stuffed it in below the head unit and zip tied it to the support bars behind the dash. The mike connects to it from the driver’s side under the dash and comes up to the center console. Haven’t tested range yet.

I got the 12-inch model and custom mounted it. They come as a 2-pack, but I only used one- I attached mine on the metal frame in front of the condenser and did not use their zip ties. To keep it simple, I ran it to a switch in the cab so I can turn it on and off only when really needed:

Thanks. Sadly they show "unavailable we don't know when this item will be in stock" for me. I can find them (or similar) on Amazon.ca but they want 100% of the price for shipping. So I can buy a 12 pack for $35CDN or just wait. For now the cover is secure so I guess I'll wait. Still raining.

Couple of other things: while I was underneath routing the cable and zip tying it in place, I had a good look at the underside of my truck. I am really impressed with how clean and neat it all is. I bought the truck in January after my Ranger was totaled, and have not had the weather (snow, then rain, rain, rain) to really get underneath. It's a 2019 with 64K kms on it, so not new. But the underside is just in incredible shape.

Yesterday I took it out to test the new tailgate lock on a grocery trip, and then exercised the 4x4 functions as normal monthly process.

Installed my overhead MOLLE panel from OG Fabrications. Doesn't have the handle retention but I'll probably just make some Paracord grab bars for the head rests. Have a few more pouches on the way

Replaces the factory cubby door and you can set your own combination. Fairly thick powder coated steel, I think it's a decent value for 50 bucks.
I know some dick with a screwdriver could probably pop it out, but it's much better than a non-locking plastic cover.

So what happens to rear occupants in the event of side curtain airbag deployment?

The curtain airbags will clear the rack and deploy underneath it as they come out from the side column, not the ceiling.

But I guess it also depends on what you load it up with and how far over to the side it mounts...

I didn't buy the double cab for passengers. It attaches to the grab handle location. So unless the grab handles would shoot into their skull otherwise I'm not worried about it.

This was installed at the dealer when I picked up the truck in 2017. Not sure of the actual brand from the dealer.

Installed the Airaid snorkel and a pair of Diode Dynamics SS5s for ditch lights, super bright.

The amber backlight DRL is a really nice touch from Diode Dynamics

Which brackets are you using with those SS5's?

The Cali Raised low profile ditch light brackets, surprisingly really solid.

Finally finished the custom grille badge and mounted it. We'll see how it holds up.
