    Hey Everyone,
Recently bought my '97 Tacoma and I ALREADY had my cat stolen. I have the 2RZ-FE, with a 5 speed. I was wondering what I would have to fix specifically in my situation. They cut off some bits, but I'm not sure what pipes I would have to specifically replace. I posted the pics of what they stole. And how can I prevent this from happening in the future? I can't find any sufficient answers in the forums, so maybe I missed something, but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!IMG_1649.jpg IMG_1648.jpg

I also know that I will have to replace the upstream o2 sensor

That sucks, I replaced my cat with a test pipe section from LCE so I won’t have to deal with mine getting stolen

Yeah, they just cut wire, but from what I say, it's just plug and play for my situation. I already made an insurance claim, but I intend on doing the work myself. Is there a good aftermarket solution so that I can also keep the o2 sensor?

What would I need to specifically buy to have what you have? I also live in CA, forgot to mention that.

You can run the truck without the cat if you want and then reinstall it for emissions testing.
Or take a chance of it getting stolen again

Yeah thats what I'm considering. But how did you get the flanges on that parts that were cut? Did you have to weld?

Mine was not stolen, you will need a welder to do that.
I’m not taking chances and I have mine still

Man who would want to take a cat from our old trucks... 3rd gen Tacoma's I can see. My cat is all shredded up inside and just waiting for the opportunity to pipe it :) Sucks to see it stolen though, poor quality humans out there.

Side note... any way to remove the cat and fool the o2 sensor to not throw a light?

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Not much you can really do but move or park inside.Remove your cat just do not get caught.

Anything you might do will only add a minute or two additional time.

unless you weld a skid in there solid which then adds to the heat build up and your access.
