Yah, it's kind of a bummer. Any easily accessible road in camping territory is typically lined with bigger campers, 5th wheels, and people who's idea of enjoying nature is driving around in loud toys, then going back to sit their air conditioned bigger toys in camp so they don't have to listen to their generators running. Until it gets dark enough, then it's time for a bonfire.

Lol, I went for a hike today and there was a group shooting really close to the trail despite signs indicating against it. on the way back a Cummins dually pulling a RZR on a landscaping trailer rolled coal on me and I kind of sums up how I already see that community. I wasn't gonna post ab it but I'll tack it onto your rant :)

Reading all this confirms my desires for a rig with camper that can get places where the bulk of the folks can't reach.

I love to dirt bike but a lot of the community kinda sucks. Bros with too much to prove. Giant trucks, giant campers all of the above things that were mentioned. A lot of rich white trash. What’s the point in camping if you’re gonna sit inside with A/C on watching tv? And the SxS folks are probably the worst cause it’s either some dim wit in a rental parked on a blind curve taking photos or a drunk redneck raising hell.

    (Some exceptions may apply)

Funny that everybody forgets that the second amendment says “well regulated militia”.

What’s so egregious about these proposed regulations?

Boulder already banned “Assault Rifles” a few years ago the state banned “High Capacity” mags close to ten years ago as well. The last one is an attempt to cut down on ghost guns which may not be all bad but sounds like it could have poor implications for those that like to build their own firearms. The waiting time will be annoying for those in Boulder. Anyways these don’t seem extremely far reaching but I understand why many people would be upset over this.

Didn't forget at all. Here it is verbatim: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
The right is "of the people" not the militia. The militia is a reason for the right.

Mainly, their blatant unconstitutionality. Apart from that, the logic that someone willing to break laws prohibiting murder would be given a half second's pause when faced with a law about a pistol grip is baffling.

Grocery store called out as no carry zone?

The government building thing seems kind of redundant, I thought carry was basically not permitted in those locations as most of them post signs ab it

Nobody. Absolutely nobody, 2A proponent or not, wants a single one of these shootings to ever happen again (or stabbings, or baseball bat beatings or any of it).

There is something seriously wrong with a person who would commit violence upon innocents. The 2nd amendment is not about perpetrating violence, it's about deterring and defending against it. As popular as it is to be a victim these days, not every one wants that.

I suppose the question is that constitution doesn’t say that any one of any age can carry any weapon they want at any time. So is it unconstitutional to say you can own guns but not carry it in a hospital for example? I don’t think so.

I fully support the second amendment. But does one really need an unlicensed modified AK in public at all times? The answer is no. Seems reasonable to regulate unlicensed weapons and make it illegal to modify a weapon for full auto, or not allow someone to carry a weapon into a school/hospital/bank/etc.

The assumption is every happy little gun owner is super law abiding and perfectly responsible with their guns. But that’s not really the case. Seems people can just easily ignore the endless times a child kills themselves or someone with their parents weapons. Or every time some armed trained individual doesn’t act on their training, or everyone someone “prevents a crime” by finishing a fight they started by showing a weapon.

Responsible ownership is key. And it isn’t always the case. Some regulation seems reasonable.

You partially support the second amendment.

I don't know who makes that assumption. There are laws on the books to deter and punish non law abiding or irresponsible gun owners.

Who needs a hopped up Honda Civic? Would you propose we outlaw all of them when someone illegally street races one?

The erroneous assumption I'd point out is that "gun free" zones prevent the existence of guns within them or that criminals would obey gun laws despite their displayed willingness to break countless other laws. Gun laws don't change the behaviour or the possession of guns by criminals. They only affect the law abiding (or create criminals out of otherwise law abiding citizens)
