Im just glad the pup is unfazed by fireworks/thunder. Neighbors launching mortar shells the last few nights dont even get her attention.

Yeah, Arcadia has a very large Asian American community and they know how to get the good stuff ... Plus we're just a half day drive from Mexico where you can get whatever your heart desires

kinda hoping it stays relatively quiet this year though cause our daughter already has enough sleep issues going on right now lol.

So many people here for the holiday weekend.
If I didn't live here I'd never come here.

Saw a tourist family get into a fistfight, cops show up, etc, then they came again this morning like nothing happened.
Place consistently gets more and more bonkers.

 

You can thank the post wuhan work from home movement for that. All of us who actually live in rural or semi rural areas are gonna pay more taxes and deal w said traffic.

 

VB Oceanfront has always been bonkers IMO

 

People are pumped to get to the beach, I get it. Plus we have had perfect weather this weekend so they really double down.
But this is levels above normal and maybe a quarter of them have any beach etiquette. Then you add the fucking hordes of Navy people and its just bananas.
It's a bummer, used to be such a mellow area.

 

Growing up here the only spots that were nuts were the south end and boardwalk. North end has always been mellow, residential and easy going, almost felt like a secret spot nobody knew about, but the population and visitor base has grown so much the shit just flows north.
