And obviously that guy at Carlisle didn't know anything about history; The Japanese were the bad guys in WWII, but they were not communists. They were allied with Nazi Germany, as well as Italy, which was fascist. The communists and the nazis hated each other, which is why the Russians were allied with us in WWII; The enemy of my enemy is my friend!

But if you even attempted to explain any of that to him he’d still resort back to that third grade bag of insults.

I tried to tell him the truck was made in California, and then I literally told him to go fuck himself when I realized there was no reasoning with him; My dashcam captured the whole thing, and it's on YouTube. He's lucky he didn't get a black eye for getting into my personal space like he did!

This place is located right around the corner from my parents' house, and presently my dream home, with the exception of the price. Public record shows that the current owner paid like $318K for it, in 2018 if I remember correctly. The house is in good shape and very nicely appointed (though at this price, even in this market, I would expect granite countertops in the kitchen). The house was built in 1976 does not have a basement; It does have a huge yard, and it also has central A/C and gas heat, which are huge pluses.

The owners tried to sell it last year, without a realtor, for $500K; There were no bites at that price and they took it off the market. Now they have a realtor, and are trying to sell it for $560K; I personally think that they are being a bit greedy, and apparently people who actually have almost $600K to spend on a house feel the same way, because this house has been languishing on the market for at least three months now. With prices starting to come down, I don't think they'll be getting anywhere near the asking price...

The "zestimate" is actually higher than the asking price, but I think this house isn't selling because it's only one story and doesn't have a basement. People around here expect a basement, and if the house doesn't have one they expect the price to reflect it.

There are two other houses in this neighborhood on this same street, which I know do not have basements; However, they are both two story homes and about a decade newer than this one. Strangely blending, while this rancher has gas heat, the other two houses have heat pumps.

    People. Are. Assholes.

I went to a car show north of Allentown in North Catasauqua, and there was a beautiful red 1970 El Camino 454 SS with factory A/C and factory power windows.

I was taught from a young age to never touch vehicles at car shows, but I've been noticing in the last few years that people are just telling me "go ahead and open the door" and "you can sit in it if you'd like", and other things along those lines. I was taking pictures of the interior of this El Camino, and the older man who owned it told I could open the door if I wanted better pictures. If an owner gives me permission to touch the vehicle, that is a different story, and I'm all over it!

So, that went off without a hitch; Then I asked if I could get pictures of the El Camino with the hood shut. I was really hoping that the owner, an man in his 60s or 70s, would shut the hood for me. He casually told me to shut it myself. Okay, whatever.

Apparently I got fingerprints on the hood. You should have shut it yourself...

So, I got distracted by another guy I'd been talking to about Tacomas and missed my chance to take a picture of the El Camino with the hood down. A group of people came up and wanted to see the engine, so the owner opened the hood and then rudely admonished me for leaving fingerprints on the hood...

Again, you should have shut it yourself!

Once the other people left, I came back from looking at another car and asked if I could get another picture with the hood down. He became rather angry and told me that I had enough pictures. When I pushed the issue, he said "Did you hear me? You have enough pictures."

I said "Whatever, dude" and walked away. Not even five years ago, I would have thrown a few profanities into the mix and ended up creating a scene, but I decided to be the bigger man and walk away. I am currently at a Sheetz in Whitehall about to get dinner and will post pictures of the El Camino when I get home.

After he was rude to me the first time. I would not have went back.

I have to admit however, I never cared for car shows.
I’d rather go to a race track where the guys actually show what their car can do, not talk about their car like 90% of car show people do.

Why come to a public event to show off your vehicle if you’re going to be a dick when someone is interested in you showing off your vehicle to them?

I love checking out cars at track days. Though it makes me want a new project car every time I go.
