They bent the roof support bar and broke the tack weld holding the threaded end cap. I'm still unsure why they even opened up the Drifter when I gave them explicit instructions around the truck repair.

I have had my drifter for a year and a day. I have contacted Phill several times regarding defective powder coating, broken Frontrunner hatch, defective Frontrunner hatch, broken door stop, broken rear wall bracket, and week lid struts. I sent a text again yesterday and still no answer. Love the camper just wish the support was better. Would love to get this repaired! Phill please reach out! Jay please help!

and this is why I just put my spot up for sale. Good camper or not. The brand and support is garbage. Nothing be will ever be fixed or addressed, given no one can ever get an update or contact them for anything.

Has anyone submit a cancellation request to get their money back and if so did placing through their ticket system work? Finally received an update on build and it is the same exact status as last year, when I was told my material was planned on hand. No luck with responses through their official ticket system and no luck directly emailing Phil.

I did post earlier in this post that I did request a refund and crickets for months and finally contacted my CC Co and they took care of it quite painlessly considering the time that had past..

I will need to refund unless someone wants my build spot..
    I am build #197

    Ive already paid $16,570.
I can't have them hold those funds when theres no progress. But with that being said I'm KIND OF next in line if someone wants to take over before I request a refund.

    Let me know

if anyone cares, i started building these vans out so thats where I'm allocating the $16,570.94. Been having a lot of fun outfitting these older E350 in Mexico and making it affordable for anyone that wants to live part time/full time on the road :)

Yup, I bought my spot from a user on here a year ago so I can’t even get all my money back with my CC if I wanted as they had already paid for $5K of it. I think that is the only way that VO is ever going to start being held accountable though, once campers that are being built and/or already buolt are then being refunded to owners via CC.

The need of future repairs somewhat worries me, however one of the reasons I bought one was because one was literally rolled over and still functional. At this point though I seriously regret selling my Snap Trehouse for a FWC…which lead me to a Vagabond

As a Drifter owner for a few years now, I am not worried about repairs. If anything happens to the aluminum it can either be welded or is a catastrophic issue like crashing the truck.

For the other parts, the materials and components are all easily accessible and replaceable by you, or if you don't have the skills or tools, someone with the skills/knowledge is able to fix it.

The only "specialized" item to fix would be the tent or upper insulation package if you had to fully replace it since the dimensions have to be pretty spot on to avoid bunching when closing and flapping in the wind.

Jason with the Tundra that rolled earlier and the Vagabond got bent…he separated the top and bottom, had a new bottom built (outsourced), and its back in one piece on the truck again.

Is it back on the road? It was a sad day when I saw that Instagram post/story (has been removed).

For this example, yep, just 1/8" aluminum with sheet metal bends, holes to drill (since you don't have the CAD drawing for laser cutting or water jet), and some welds and rivets to assemble.

I’m sure it’s easily fixable, but there is no reason that owners should have to find ways to fix campers themselves after spending 15k because the company is useless for support.
