Picked up 3rd gen Off Road strut assemblies and rear shocks. Ordered a lean spacer. Hood and roof paint in 7 days with new drip mouldings. Then suspension work. Then hood struts I have had for 10 months (didn't want them to be in the way at body shop). I have no more plans after that except for swapping out original 2008 spare for a newer 4runner 265/70/17 spare with a new tpms.

does the drivers side of your deflector touch the top of the surround causing it to chip the paint? Also does it push down on the headlights when closed? I just tried installing one and that’s what mine is doing.

I returned it the day after installing it. I didn't like the look, fit, or finish.

@TexasWhiteIce Mine dont touch...they do have plastic inserts that you can use to raise and lower it.

I cannot say enough good things about the Morel set I picked up from Crutchfield. I did go with separates, installed the 6.5” in the stock door location (regular cab) but I surface mounted the tweeters on the kick panels. Two advantages to putting them there, better path length as well as closer proximity to the woofers for better sound stage cohesion. I also strongly recommend the Kicker Key amps, I used the auto-tuning set up and now run the EQ in the head unit flat. Coupled with the JL Audio powered sub box, the system is clean, clear and gets plenty loud.

Just had my first long distance drive after breaking in the new 4:88 gears.
Drove about 250kms to Princeton, BC for a big family get together over Canada Day weekend.
New gearing feels great, lots of acceleration in all the gears, even on hills... it's life in the slow lane on highways tho but that's OK, it's not a racecar lol.
