Also loaded up everything from my bed to my backseat 4 wheels, a grill insert, and some tools because it was about to storm on the drive home. Pretty good storage for such a small space

Perfect, thank you. I also plan to run a switch in the cab for on/off when needed.

Sadly that's normal. Even aftermarket is right up there. I think I paid slightly more than that for a set of Tuffskinz (though I think their tricolor mountains look bitchin').

JD Fab dual shear spindle upgrade is what you want to buy (~$400 iirc). You will need to weld plates onto the spindles, as well as ream out the OEM tie rod hole to 5/8".

The setup replaces the OEM ball joint, single shear, with a heim joint in dual shear. The adaptor piece takes you from the joint to the OEM tie rod.

I have a tie rod sleeve showing up soon that will reinforce the remaining part of the skinny tie rod you can see in the photo.

Probably not needed by most, but my truck is Heavy, with a capital H, and I enjoy driving quickly on dirt roads.

Installed Spidertrax wheel spacers this weekend. I'm now at -14 offset (which doesn't look as extreme as it sounds). I did CMC recently and flattened the pinch welds a little to accommodate without rubbing. Running 285/70R17 on a 2.5" lift all around.

Finally got my CMC done by an extremely skilled fabricator @drtfabrication over the weekend! Hit him up if you're local... you won't be disappointed.

I removed the bottom portion of the rear seats years ago. Much better for space and I can place the front seats all the way back. An easy 1-2 minute job with only 4 bolts.

K&N 57-9039 JR Intake Kit (tube and filter) and the TRD Intake Flow Accelerator installed Saturday morning. IMO this is visually nicer and much cheaper than the full TRD kit, but should provide all of the gains (if not more due to a better tube design). I also removed the carbon filter from the airbox lid. I wasn't expecting huge gains, but I am very impressed with how the truck feels. The throttle response is much snappier, it seems like it downshifts easier/smoother/faster and from a stop it accelerates easier. Best way I can describe it is that the truck feel like it's lighter. I've seen quite a few reviews that say this increases mpg by 1-2, but we'll see if that's actually the case as time goes on. I'm not sure if it added any power as I don't drive it that hard most of the time, but the smoothness gains make it worthwhile. The intake is audibly unnoticeable until around 4000 RPM and then it's like a switch is flipped and the suction noise gets pretty loud, which is about as perfect as you can ask for IMO. I'm happy there's no droning without the giant resonator on the intake tube - no idea why that needs to be there on the stock tube either - it's just a huge heat soak lol.

Installed - I love how clean this kit is:

Put on my door still protectors I took off my 2nd gen. Just had to clean off the old 3M tape and retape. Only cost $8 for the new 3M tape instead of the $50 it costs to buy new ones!!!
