HELLO TACO FAM, SORRY IF THIS IS A DUPLICATE BUT I NEED SOME HELP. SO I HAVE A 2011 4X4 DC AND I JUST HAD MY FRAME REPLACED AND LOOKS LIKE THE DEALER ONLY DID THE BARE MINIMUM WHEN THE REPLACED MY FRAME. SO MY QUESTION IS THE "MONK" OCD IN ME IS LIKE OK A NEW FRAME BUT EVERYTHING ELSE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED BEING 1) OVER 10 YEARS OLD AND 2) LOOKS STUPID EVERYTHING OLD LOOKING AND WORN. SO MY OCD IS TELLING ME TO REPLACE THE LEAF SPRINGS, UPPER AND LOWER CONTROL ARMS, OUTTER TIE ROD ENDS AND THE SWAY BAR LINKS. LIVING WHERE THE ROADS CAN DEF RUIN EVERYTHING I FEEL LIKE ITS JUSTIFIABLE. I DID HAVE THE OEM BILSTEINS FRONT AND REAR REPLACED WITH NEW STRUT MOUNTS. AFTER LOOKING INTO THIS A BIT I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT BRAND TO GO WITH. OEM IS VERY PRICEY AND I FEEL LIKE AFTERMARKET DEPENDING ON THE BRAND MIGHT SAVE ME A FEW DOLLARS IN THE LONG RUN. I DONT NEED TO LIFT OR LEVEL IT SO I WANNA MAINTAINE ITS RIDE HEIGHT WITH THE BULLDOG STANCE. SO WHAT BRANDS CAN YOU RECOMMEND AND IF I MISSED ANYTHING PLEASE ADD TO MY LIST. OH AND THEY CUT MY AXLE BOOT SO THATS EITHER GONNA NEED A REBOOT OR A NEW AXLE. SUGGESTIONS? THANK YOU AND SORRY FOR THE LONG THREAD LOL.

You're asking about replacing things that aren't broken, and using non-OEM parts to save a few bucks?

What sort of preventive maintenance did you do with the frame since you acknowledged living in a salt state?

you get what you pay for...if you "like" your truck the way it is..and want it the same but newer, spend the money and use OEM parts, cheaper parts are cheaper for a reason.

Since you have a new frame there’s no need to randomly start replacing parts. I would save the money and only have the undercarriage sprayed with a corrosion protection like fluid film or thicker wool wax or something of your choice. Protect what is new and don’t go down the rabbit hole because you want new parts on your new frame.

Ok so front/rear springs...lets start there. Find a set of 3rd gen take offs on FB marketplace or on the for sale forum, most aftermarket springs are "lifted" and you dont want that. 3rd gen ones fit with no issue, you could also use the 3rd gen UCAs, but NOT the lowers, they are different. then look at LCAs, and use OEM for that...should save you a BUNCH of money doing it this way. If you DONT want the front lited stay away from 3rd gen TRD Off Road ones..

next step is to determine whats next...tie rods, ball joints, steering rack...theres a million parts you CAN change..but do you really NEED to...and only you can answer whats sagging, sloppy, loose...
