Anyone know where I can get some metal bent? I have some 1/8" aluminum I want to bend to make quick fist brackets for my Frontrunner rack.

I've got a vice. The bends don't come out great. The radius is large.

You give me a month I'll be in my aluminum shop in north San Antionio and I'll have access to a proper brake and I can get you any radius you want.

1/8" aluminum Vise and big crescent wrench do the trick.

For 1/4", I used some aluminum angle, and my wood chop saw (hint cheap Harbor freight saw and blade) to make brackets.

My worst assumption was those rails on my RSI rack went straight back. Nope, there is a taper to them. I left "ears" for a sun shade attachment, but that taper didn't work as planned. Two 100 Watt panels, no issue parking for five days off-grid keeping Domenic 75DZ cooler running, CPAP, and LED lights at night. One 100 W panel works fine, but you should shift every two hours to keep within 15 degrees of the sun, hence two were used.

I appreciate the offer. RR is a bit of a hike between gas and my time it offsets the cost savings. I was trying to be cheap but just buying a mount from Frontrunner might be the best option :).

I've had luck scoring the material with the table saw then bending but that was for an under hood mount for some electrical stuff. The quick fist brackets will be for an axe hanging over the side of my bed. Between the reduced material thickness and sometime visible cracks from bending I'm not sure I trust it...

Hey new here don’t even have the truck yet but I’m looking for a 1st gen Xtra-cab 4x4. Preferably V6 5 speed TRD. I’d also consider a Double Cab Auto but it would have to be the right truck.

    While I don’t have the truck yet I’m not new to Toyotas. I’ve owned a FJ80 my wife is on her 2nd 4Runner (4th gen V8 4x4 and now a 5th SR5 4x4) and my daughter has a 3rd gen 4Runner SR5 4x4.

Welcome! Checkout YOTA Ranch on Menchaca Rd. They have a bunch of good used Toyotas and so far they have a decent reputation within the Toyota community.

I’ve been watching their website for a while now. Looks like they get some good clean ones come through. Nothing currently that fits the bill unfortunately.

Let them know what you're looking for - they might find something and be able to get it to you before someone else snakes it.

Then go across the street to Valentina's and enjoy some bomb-ass brisket tacos.

    Hi y'all!

I don't have any memes for you, just a question and a short story:

My name is Haven Trahan and for the last year and a half I have been the proud owner of a grey 06 Tacoma. I bought the truck in great shape: It was clean, ran well and was super well maintained. Only issue was that the ABS light was on. I ignored this for a while because it didn't affect the drivability and the wiring and sensor troubleshooting I did didn't reveal the source of the problem. Finally inspection time rolled around and I couldn't get it re-registered. I've since done some reading and seen that the most likely cause is a bad wheel bearing (which the used car guy sold me with the car). I've also watched several long youtube videos showing some special tools to get the wheel bearing pressed out and back in.

Long story short, does anyone in the Austin, TX area have the pictured bearing press tool laying around? Just want to know before I buy one.

    Thank you!
