If you are watching this thread and are on the fence about buying this skid you better get to it. I am this || close to just installing it on my truck and calling it a day.

 

Is this a custom job, or who made this skid?

Also, does it need the OEM straps for install, or does it bolt up a different way?

It is a Mobtown skid. It bolts up to the existing OEM tank straps using the OEM nuts and has two additional bolts on the front edge. My truck was used by Joe as a prototype for his second run of the skid plates before he sold the business. My truck is a 2017 DCSB.

 

Does this fit 2nd gens?

I bet it does. Mine came off a 3rd gen dcsb, and it fits my 2nd gen.

 

So maybe it does. I can't guarantee it does. Also, you need to make sure your tank straps have the studs for mounting a tank skid (OEM or aftermarket)

 

Are you sure it lines up fine and will bolt right up?

Yes, I went over to Mobtown, when they were still open, and Joe specifically fit this to my 2017 DCSB. It is still for sale if anyone is interested.
