For all of you out there wanting to do the TSB AAL. The TSB now covers 2011 tacomas. If you want the TSB done for load issues or just for the rear lift, doesnt matter, Toyota will do it. Best way to get it done for those tough dealerships is to call toyota directly and tell them your truck rides funny with a load in the back, I told them it was my snowmoblile. They will call your dealership of choice and have them do it for you. My appointment was yesterday and toyota called me today telling me parts have been ordered. Hope this helps some of you.

I called the dealer yesterday as well and damn you have to talk em into doing it. Told them I couldn't even haul my quad without the leafs bending backwards. Had to compare it to my 01 Taco 4cyl that could haul a quad in the bed and one on the trailer. Told em with a minor load the rear end of the truck bounces around like a kid hopped up on sugar pills. They finally agreed to order the parts. Shouldn't be so difficult IMO.

totally agreed. The dealership treated me the same way, and with one call to toyota the dealership called me singing a new tune.

If you have 3 leaf springs you dont have the tsb done if you have 4 you do or you have some kind of aal.

Thanks NW for being a smart a$$. If you carry weight then its fine, plus the aal needs to be broken in. If you get it just for the lift then yeah. I love when people go around on TW and leave smart a$$ comments, dont you have better things to do with your time?

So I only have 3 springs. I am going to do a 3" lift with a AAL in the rear in the future. Should I get the TSB done or is it a waste of time if I am going to life the rear? Thanks guys

My truck rides better with the TSB springs. It rode like crap before I had it done. I felt like I was on a damned water bed. Now it rides like a truck should and I can actually haul a load of firewood home without pissing blood after beating the shit out of the bump stops.

So I talked to my local dealership and they say it has not been a safety issue and I need to bring the truck in to have it diagnosed at my cost. What the @&^$! Any suggestions?

My guess is that you are out of the warranty period. I'm pretty sure it's only covered under the initial 3 year / 36000 mile warranty period and after that your best bet is AAL. Good luck.

What number are you guys calling exactly? I am having issues with my dealership rejecting some of my fixes due to "can not duplicate" BS. The problems are there before and after leaving the dealerships, but strangely are not there during the visit....hmmm.

1(800) 331-4331 Toyota costumer service. tell them you have a jacked up ride with loads in the back. they will call your dealership. How is the dealership going to duplicate if they dont load up your bed and drive around, F them. Try the number, they should contact your dealership for you. Good luck.

Guys are just trying to fix issues they have. The AAL without a doubt improves your ride when loaded.
