I would love to see the setup when you're done with the reloading bench. I really like the setup now. It's simple and gets to the point haha

It was the compromise with the fiance...I got an entire room and I don't leave my parts all over the house

The safe is in another room though because I didn't want to put it upstairs

Jokes on her though because my office is in a different room and that's also a makeshift gun room

    Ah you little trickster!

I just leave pistols all around the house. And Everytime she has a problem with it. I just say "hey what happens if we are getting robbed and you're in the shower"

This is the exact thing I'm going for. I don't need a bench even though it'll be nice. As you can tell my room is tiny

My "safe" isn't exactly top of the line and any thief with tools would cut it open in no time. It's the liberty revolution so it's got locking flat cross bars and not round. Supposedly it's harder to pry open. But either way, my mindset was out of sight out of mind in the event of a break in. I'm not a Craftsman by trade and it was one of my first house projects before I had better tools and know-how. Do if you were to walk in looking for a Murphy door it would probably be obvious but to someone unknowing I think it hides being a door pretty well.

Yup I just wanted it to be hidden in plain sight. The differences between ours is that you don't really know theres a closet.

However, mine is an understairs closet so you can tell if you are somewhat knowledgeable of home layouts

Inset Murphy door looking like a book case might hide it well.

The hinge was the most expensive part. The uneven opening and unlevel floor were the next issues. Ended up adding a roller on the bottom to help shim it all out and swing a little easier. That's the problem with owning a 70 year old home. lol. I have a friend who is a carpenter and he helped me get it all lined out.
