Sooooo, does this mean buy more moon tickets so I can quadruple even more moon tickets and get back what the government has took the first 2 quarters of the year at least?

You’ve all been here since page 1? That’s impressive. I was mostly being sarcastic.

My question is why would GME do this split? Almost feels like management is on the Reddit forum. Engineering a squeeze to take a moon ride too? Hmmmmm

Honest question: aside from “making shares more affordable for retail investors” what is the point of any split?

If you don't understand the thesis behind this play, that's fine, but you cannot look at this like microsoft just issuing a split to make its shares more affordable. There's plenty of information out there to read up on what's going on. I'm just sick of typing it out for the 10,000,000th time lol

Also the GME C-suite can't sell their shares anyways. Lockup periods...

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Does this split come with whipped cream and cherries or do we need to supply our own... Asking for a friend...of course :anonymous:

I've waited 37 years, I can wait another 10. What's the alternative? Keep working forever and be poor? No thanks, I'll take the money.

They are diluting their share float 4 to 1 making each share worth 25% of what it was before. Whether they split it traditionally or through a “stock dividend” the effect is identical.

The reading I’ve done says that management is catering to their ownership which is 100% retail (telling in itself) and since the Greater Fool NFT boom is kaput they are issuing the split as a distraction. Selling used PS5 games and Pokémon cards doesn’t make them a force to contend with in the MetaVerse lol.

I’ll be watching closely. I hope I’m wrong and you all retire 20 years early. Maybe I will buy some long puts as a contrarian play. Instead of the “Moon Shot” I call it “The Hellevator”. Headline: “SEC raids GME Offices and announces investigation into stock manipulation.”

Well, that crypto screenshot is a day or two old too, the current crypto market cap is now under $1T. Showing it's a nice stable foundation to build nearly the entirety of your future on.

This is what I don't understand. Let's say there's a 1% chance I'm right. Costs you almost nothing to find out. But instead, "I hope you're right, but I don't want any part of it"

How can it cost almost nothing? Are you buying super out of the money soon expiring calls?

Ok but tripling a few grand isn’t exactly life changing.

Are you gambling $100 000 or more hoping for a triple or are you gambling $5000 on $200 call options hoping to hit a 50 bag if it goes to $300?

Those options will also have gotten a lot more expensive today.

I'm gambling $100,000 or more hoping for multi-millions

If you bought 20 shares, and it squeezes to six figures, you're telling me that's not something you're interested in?
