    My wife is from Northern Wisconsin. She talks funny too. One day she says she has to go and check the autometer on the Rav4 for mileage reimbursement. I said what the hell is a autometer.
    You know the thing that keep track of the mileage.:facepalm:

    Don't think so. This was back in the 1980's/90's when I was walking behind the setter. Dad and the mule talk was before they could afford a tractor. Big farmers had tractors, us small farmers were blessed to have food on the table.

    The inland north accent.... I have a Queens accent, but lived in Wisconsin for 2-1/2 years. No way you couldn't tell where I was from. Co-workers asked me what they sounded like. I replied, "Canadian."
