Skids are advised and sliders are recommended, but you can absolutely get through there on 32s*. Just do the pro walk at all the spots.

*I'm presuming it's @Blue Canary in the video you're referring to, and he's done that trail a handful of times on 31s.

Larry is on 31s with no lockers.

He'll be unstappable when we get him on 33s

:anonymous: 265/70/16 The first time I went through with just sliders and shitty AT's. Second time was with skids and the same shitty AT's. 3rd and 4th runs were on better shoes and a bit more experience. There were maybe 2 spots that required a bit of trail engineering and rock stacking. It's a fun run with some great views to be had.

I’ll have to see if the wifey is up for it. She likes simple off roaring like signal peak or Latrobe road. Doesn’t like the rocky, crawling stuff.

If you aren't sure about NRT, there's still hella cool stuff on 5N01 all the way back to Relief Reservoir.

Correct! all stock 3rd Gen DCLB but I did have sliders and used them. I now have full skids, a mild suspension upgrade, and up one tire size to 265/75R16 "32s"
I'm going back up in a couple weeks July 21-24. Plan to run Niagara Rim on Friday July 22 and Eagle Peak the next day on Saturday July 23rd.

You may not be able to get to Eagle Peak. Last I knew the Herring Creek area was still not open and they had no estimation on when it would be open.

That was about a week ago. It may have changed, but I haven't seen any new info on it yet.

That peice of obsidian is beutiful.

Truck is lookin' pretty good too!

Someone (I'm too lazy to do it myself) should organize a Norcal or CA DIY camper meetup.

Thanks for the info. Trail of the Gargoyles is listed as open so I assumed that since that is past the gate then all of 4N12 was open. I will call the ranger station to confirm just to be sure. Also good work on the YouTube!
