I drove my wife to the Airport early Tuesday morning and was going about 130 KMH (80 MPH) and noticed a loud rattling noise. I first thought it was the window. But when I rolled the window down to re-seat it the noise was steady and loud coming from the rear view mirror driver side. I slowed down and tried various speeds but it was still there. So when I stopped and open the door it was rattling. Is there a screw in behind that is loose or does the mirror and case come as a one piece kit. I am dreading if I have to take it in to the dealer. Thanks for any info on a fix

sounds like warranty issue to me. why is a big deal to take it to the dealer, won't cost you anything but your time.

I am getting the same rattling sound on my 2011 DC. Is there an update to this?? Did you ever go to the dealer?

Do you have a hood deflector? My hood deflector causes my driver's side mirror to vibrate due to added turbulence. I Don't have the rattling noise however.

I have the same noise, I thought it was the drivers side mirror, but it is actually the dash rattling against the pillar( where the grab handle is). I can grab the dash above the guages and wiggle it to hear the noise. Anyone know how to tighten up that part of the dash?
Next time I am at the dealer, I will have them look at it.

I have to check the grab handle to see if it's hitting the dash. I was suspecting it has something to do with the rear view mirror being loose or something. There's a clip towards the top that sits flush against the windshield. I popped it off and drove around, still had the same noise though. I'll bring it up when I go to the dealer. I have to schedule an appt. anyway because my heater fan squeaks when on low. (very annoying and I've only had the truck for 2 months).

I don't have a deflector, but the plastic side mirror housing makes a lot of noise from air turbulence above 35 mph or so. Only noticeable when the window is down though.
