Most 12v systems are pretty straight forward with only 2 main variables: 12v positive (red wires) and ground (block wires). Find a good ground. The rest is just busy work like wire crimping and running wires to various places on the truck. This was one of the largest projects on the truck I've done in one shot. This took me 5 straight days of an average over 8 hours each day.

I updated the original post with a parts list. Lots of various spools of different wire gauges and terminal ends and tools and such in there too that I didn't bother to list.

Did a roadtrip to Montana from San Diego.
3160 miles driven roundtrip, 227 gallons of gas for a total of $1,178 and a MPG of 13.9....... :annoyed:

CA gas prices are high but Utah and Idaho were only marginally better unless you went with 85 octane. Montana was when we finally saw sub $5.

Never went over 75 but was loaded down with three guys and my shell packed to the roof. Awning, flyrod tube and cab rack didn't help with the drag.

33" tires, lift, 5.29 gears, full armor, shell and 8 hrs of 20-30mph headwind from Salt Lake City south did not help the fuel economy......

Where the back seat riders comfortable? I know I wouldn't be if I sat behind myself (Front seat is all the way back). Not sure I'd make it more than an hour or two

You'll love the full size. I have one and it's awesome (other than it weighing 70lbs)

He sat sideways almost the whole trip (he only went one-way). Not ideal but it worked.

Have you thought about getting a Rexing M2 or Promido? Like the ones that have the camera display in the mirror? But I guess the anytime camera would essentially be the same thing…

I would have never realized before how much the rear view mirror obstructs the view…

I saw someone else remove theirs and at the time I didn't have the shell. Once I got the shell it was useless and now it's even easier to clean the inner windshield!

Sold my Konig Countersteers and mounted new 265/75/16 Goodyear Wrangler Ultraterrain ATs onto 16” x 8" SCS F5 0 offset. At first was kind of bummed they didn't have the matte black available when I bought them, but with the wheels on the truck the gray came out ok matches the (fake) TOYOTA badge on my (fake) heritage grill. A bonus is the lighter tires (40 lbs) and wheels (26-ish lbs) should be good for gas mileage EDIT ok maybe not much for gas mileage but the truck does feel peppier...or maybe it's all in my head lol

It's in the body shop now... but got backed into by a civic. Even if I had a 2-3 inch lift I don't think the sliders would have been there to eat it :annoyed:

Did my last free dealer service yesterday at the 2 year mark, 18,500 miles. They actually replaced my cabin air filter for free, 1st time ever! I took a look to confirm as I didn't believe.
Aloha dealer, thx for the memories, I will do my own service going forward. Mahalo

Pretty easy. Assemble the wings to the large flat piece, remove the bars on the truck connecting the frame to the crossmember, put the shield upon place and fasten it up front with the included nut plate and then sandwich it with the bars you removed and reinstall the bars. Nice kit.
