Hey everyone i'm in the process of picking up my first tacoma and wanted some feedback on these trucks. I've found a 96 Tacoma Access Cab with 121,000 miles on it. I know these trucks last forever but the owner's selling it for about 8k. I wanted to know if this truck is worth the money? Also what is considered alot of miles for a Tacoma where it wouldn't be worth buying. Thanks alot.

Depends on what condition the truck is in, and what is has with it. $8,000 is a lot of money no matter which way you look at it. I just did a basic KBB on the truck and it was in the $2,700 region.

I was able to by an '07 Access cab for $16,500 out the door.

The truck does have surprisingly low miles though. I already have 129000k on mine (I know I know... I drive a lot), and it still runs like a champ.

Do you have any more info on the truck?

    Seconded.

For $8,000, You could buy a Taco made within the last 10 years easy. Just depends on what you're looking for I suppose.

Color matched grill w/ grillcraft. BHLM and Morimoto Mini HID's Debadged.
Check for extent of frame rust as well. But I agree with others, that's a bit much for 14 year old truck. I just sold my 96 ranger, with 140K on it. Mint condition, one owner, clear car fax, full maintenance records, for $2700.

    To sum it all up...

In all reality, it won't be worth the money.

You could get a 2005 for 8k or around that.

I would say maybe $3,000 for that truck. It is pretty old & only an access cab.
