I'm in my 50's. 30 years in Chicago. Many as a gigging musician and Bar/tender/manager. Mostly 2003 - 2015, during the explosion of Microbreweries and IPA's etc. The owner/founder of Founder's is the BIL of a drummer I had. Use to bring us beta version of things they were working on. I have tasted a LOT of beer, much of it in a professional 'taste test' setting where brewer's Reps come into the bar and want us to feature a new brew on a tap. We had 30 taps and 200 more titles in cans and bottles. So, again a LOT of beer. Which doesn't mean much because taste is purely subjective so my sublime all timer is someone else's toilet bowl cleaner.

I'm generally over beer. Having said aaaallll that. Arguably my absolute favorite beer is DeSchutes Chainbreaker White IPA. Not hop forward and super sessionable. And discon - f*!#@ng -tinued. As soon as I discovered it. :angrygirl:

That's all. You triggered me when you mentioned Deschutes.

Well....so the real fun begins just trying to find a new car that's actually available. As of the '23 MY which pops pretty soon, no Corollas
will be available in a manual transmission.....except the GR. My buddy at my local Toyota dealership has checked the available allocation in this region and there are no '22 Hatchbacks or Sedans with the row-your-own-gear option. It appears that Toyota has already built those out as it winds down '22 production.....and I'm certainly not driving across country in hopes that there MIGHT be one somewhere, only to fight over it. So looks like an auto it is.

    Well,
Just got some news from the track.
Apparently Bob and I did our job right as Bob won his race today.
Which means he also beat our old car..
Coming back from a broken car is a great accomplishment….
    Congratulations Bob…
Wish I could have been there..

Fack no! I'd have to fork over lots of cash, a kidney and my wife's 38Es.....then wait a year.

This is a car to get back and forth to work in. That's all

You can try Beaverton Toyota in Oregon. Heard good things about them from some of the pricing threads.

Cant even tell wtf happened, looks like it was a mock check ride on the tracking history from the maneuvers. Wondering if it was a front gear failure for the front to be hit and the empennage to be snapped like that?

    They were in landing configuration.
The plane snapped in half. A collapse would not cause that.
I hope it wasn’t his slow speed work and a stall…

If he stuffed that it makes sense to drive the gear into the engine, break the oil system, and light a oil fire.

Not sure what I'm going to do with it. It runs flawlessly. In a little over a year my youngest will be 16. That might be an option. I also might find a small utility trailer to tow behind it if I need some light truck stuff. Drawtight makes a class 1 hitch specifically for it.

I don’t know. But at this point it's worth more to me than the actual cash value is

Yeah. 2500 miles is just too far to fiddle with. I'm confident my guy will find me something

Tacomas you can find. Corollas? Not so much. Low supply + high demand = zero inventory. Most new of the ones you see on websites are already sold. The day or so it takes to update inventory lags behind the actual sale.
