There's a part of me that just wants to remove the bags just so that I don't have to hit RSCA OFF everytime I go wheeling.

Installed skinny 285s on my truck. Man these tires are small!

    Ha. Just the curtains.

edit: Should probably note that I'm not actually going to do this. Although it would be nice if there was a switch to disable them, rather than a button.

    Installed some poly motor mounts.

Took a good 6+ hours due to having to fondle in between the front diff to uninstall everything, including the motor mount brackets in order to drill out existing holes to accommodate for the larger hardware.

Not much difference honestly, probably a bit better vibration wise albeit my old motor mounts weren't in great condition.

I was getting tired of the steel wheels on my 2015 PreRunner as the silver finish was starting to flake off of them. I found some OEM Alloys from a 2015 Offroad in like new condition for $50/ea. The guy that sold them to me switched to some different wheels right after he bought the truck brand new.

Unfortunately I neglected to do my research and didn't realize until installing the alloys that the TPMS are different for steel vs alloy. Oh well, it was probably time for new TPMS pretty soon anyhow so I bought some and will have them installed soon.

All that being said -- I'm happy with the decision and how they look - definitely an upgrade. And I'm selling a set steelies with lugs and original TPMS in the Charlotte, NC area if anyone's looking :)

You can sometimes use the same sensors. You just flip them around. Did that to one of my 2008's with stock steelies when I swapped to 4runner wheels. Can't remember those specifically but most can be loosened and then reposition the angle. The 2015 may be different.

I wanted to give a shout out to Village Toyota in Florida. Since my access cab 2008 truck goes in for paint Monday I decided to install new roof drip mouldings with new clips (originals sun bleached). My 2 local dealers wanted between $82 and $93 (full msrp) each. Village sent both with 4 new clips for $127 total using the FREESHIP code. I will certainly shop there the next time I need dealer parts.

Picking up a 2nd Gen DCLB here in the next couple of days so this is fine.

I’ve also bought some fox 2.5 shocks with 700# coils, are these rated for a plate bumper or?

plan on adding a winch on a hidden mount up front, just wondering if I need new springs.

Also, do I need to plan on getting some extended brake lines when lifting like the first gens?

All Pro HDPE tailgate insert.jpgInstalled an All Pro Off-road HDPE tailgate insert from Trail Gear after UPS Ground delivery this afternoon. Quick work in hot weather, and I looked at the stock plastic insert later to find a small plastic finger at the top center that hangs up when pulling it out from under the plastic trim on the top end of the tailgate. No damage or injuries to report, and my knees feel better just looking at that smooth surface. The Wilmar Corp. Performance Tool star hex bit set (T30 with the 1/4 drive socket adapter) worked well.
    - Yes, it's available in two colors, and for the Tundra, too.

feel like 700lbs springs are pretty heavy duty. Aren’t the original ones that come with fox 600lbs?

I had 650lbs springs on my bilstein 6112 and it was pretty stiff. Downgraded to 600lbs springs and it rode more softer. Better in my opinion.

usally people put 650lbs springs when they have a bumper or sliders.

700lbs when they all out with heavy bumper, winch, roof rack, iron skid plates

Not what I’ve done to my second gen, but what I soon will be able to do!

It’s not the fanciest. But I just couldn’t justify several thousand dollars for something I’ve never done. So I got myself a cheap but recommended by a few people VULCAN migmax 215 mig welder and a few accoutrements. And a welding cart.

Next I need to get a helmet, a bottle of gas and get 220 hooked up in the garage (shouldn’t be a problem since we have 220 in the next room for the dryer)

Ignore the mess I have 3 other projects going this weekend.

$450 but it was $50 off. It’s surprisingly sturdy. And has a ton of organization. So my angle grinder, right angle die grinder, dremel and all the associated shit with those three plus all the welding stuff I have so far fits easily. With room for 3 machines up top and two bottles. Plus plenty of room for welding blanket/helmet and more. Seems worth it to me.
