How truly accurate are those kinds of things?

 

Forget what the app was called, but we used to use them when out on the boats… at 10mph they were about +/- 1mph compared to the boats GPS… at 20mph I believe +/- 2mph.

 

I used a speed app on my phone to compare with the Speedo

 

Downloaded Waze and went for a drive. It’s matching up with my ScanGauge since I’ve calibrated it to compensate for my larger tire size. Speedo is off by 1/2 +/-

 

With all this dog talk, we found out a few weeks ago our 6 year old Corgi has terminal lymphoma.




It came on very sudden and has already spread to internal organs. He hates taking medicine, and only wants to eat people food. Best part is, if he even makes it to September when the canine cancer place can get him in, we couldnt afford the $10,000 anyway. So we’re just feeding him whatever we can, playing with him, and getting any meds in that we can. Shit happens and he’s never really been a fighter so I understand he just wants to be comfortable.

 

Dam it AR, I am now laying here with tears in my eyes. I know how tough it is to see a pet and know what is coming and how we will miss them. Sorry, I don't do mortality well.

Agreed! That was a hard read to start the day at 730… I’m very sorry your puppers is sick. We have two dogs, and sadly one is on borrowed time too. But he keeps fighting. Mind of a puppy and always ready to play, body just won’t let him. It crushes you to see it. Hopefully all these dogs on here make a positive turn and we all get a miracle!

 

I am so so sorry to hear this bro. This makes me really sad to hear. 6 is very young. I’ve always loved corgis, especially cardigan welsh corgis. I hope he’ll continue to have the best quality of life that you give him. Prayers & good vibes.

 

Mason that sucks big time. Dogs are really man’s best friend. It’s been two years since mine has been gone. Enjoy him and spoil him.

 

I appreciate it gents. Its just part of it when you sign on. You get all of the good and all of the bad. I lost my Shepard in 2019 and got my parents a yellow lab about a year later. That was the longest I was ever without my own personal dog. Finn the corgi has filled in the whole time, so i’m blessed for that.

@AR15xAR10 - I’m so sorry. We lost our basset hound 3 days before Christmas this past year and it still hurts. My youngest daughter was completely devastated as they were absolutely best friends. All dogs are good dogs, and I have to believe that we will be with them again on the other side. Pls let us know if you need anything, praying for you and your family.

i’m probably the most bland and matter of fact person around when it comes to loss, its everybody else that I worry about

I appreciate the kind words, talking helps for sure

 

He’s used to ride in my 4runner all the time and almost never rode in the truck. When he would ride in the truck, he would ride on the floor

now he has his own towel and rides in the passenger seat. I’m glad I turned off the seat belt chimes so he can go everywhere with me

I was going to suggest Waze or a stand alone GPS unit, but I see that you checked it against a Waze app.
