Eibach PRO TRUCK Coilover 2.0 Stage 2

The topping out, while bad on the street, gets exponentially worse off road.

If they could just fix that, or drastically reduce it - this would be the best budget kit out there.

 

Installed the coilovers today. I adjusted them down to about 1” of lift. They are really smooth. I’m happy with them. I’ll get some pictures tomorrow.

 

Had my Stage 2 kit put on last Friday. Put about 30 miles on it around town. Feeling good so far.

 

Still debating on this set up vs stage 1

 

My coilovers came with studs on the top hat. I noticed in everyone else’s pics they came with what looks like bolts that are almost flush. Is this normal? Also has anyone had luck with not installing the sway bar relocation bracket? It just seems like with it installed there is a lot of tension in the bushings.

 

Any pictures yet? I just ordered the stage 2 kit today. I only want to take out about 50% of the rake so 1" front lift for me as well.

Has anyone tried to install the front coil overs by dropping the lower control arm but not loosening the camber bolts? I figure the LCA swings with the weight of the tire so how hard can it be to swing it by stepping on it and jacking it up (without loosening those camber bolts)?

Also wanted to say, thanks to all who contributed their feed back to this thread. Really helped me a lot in making this purchase decision.

 

Crap I forgot. I’ll get some today. I can say that the coilovers came with 1.25” of threads showing. I adjusted them to .75” showing.

So I got this kit on today, stock wheel size, no rear block, set to level which was just under 1.5" front lift. I'm happy with it and probably won't go any higher front or rear with stock tire size...i think it would look funny.

I know the photos are not as impressive as the other ones on this thread but though I'd share in case anyone wants to see a front level with OE tire size.

I did this install by dropping the LCA. To be honest it may be the same amount of work doing it by undoing UCA and tie rod. One way you have to keep an eye on your camber/caster (to keep it close enough to get the shop for alignment) and the other, you have to beat the crap out of your spindle to release joints. Pick your poison I guess.

One thing that caught me off guards with the LCA method is the inner CV joint/spline axle popped out. Took me while to get it back in (due to my inexperience with it).

I have nothing bad to say about this product. First drive today felt very good.

Wow, awesome photos. Truck looks great, and so does that jet.

 

Looked at my photos a bit more and I have to correct myself. My adjustments to 1.5" front lift equalizes the wheel well gaps but there's actually is a bit a rake left. Whereas Eibach's out of the box settings at 2-2.25" front lift puts the trucks body DEAD level (but with uneven wheel well gaps).

You can see how the "level" line in the second photo lines up with the bed and windows. So, Eibach definitely has there out of box settings dialed in for level. I will still stick with 1.5" though.

2-2.25" LIFT (body dead level)

 

When I installed mine, I separated the upper ball joint and then pushed down on the lower control arm, without loosening the lower control arms. This gave me more than enough room to get the strut assemblies installed.

i hope people realize that some rake is good for more than one reason. Braking is better in a truck from a physics standpoint. Rake increases downward force during braking onto the front tires which increases stopping power. This is why trucks come this way. Even the Raptor has rake…function over form

 

100% agree. I don't mind having some rake for towing as well. In fact, this weekend I'm throwing on a rear air bag system (Air Lift Ride Control #59561) to help out during towing. I know it negatively affects articulation but I don't rock crawl so its a good solutions for me and the way i use the truck. If I do find what I've done so far negatively impacts the braking, it will go right back to factory spec heights. Function over form for me as well.

 

i have the Firestone airbags (which are great) with the Daystar cradles to keep articulation. You should add the cradles if they are compatible with those airbags to keep the best of both worlds. I tow a 20’ Jayco too

wow...gotta love this forum. Didn't even know that product existed...thank you. I'll probably go ahead wit the install this weekend but I will look into it that cradle for a future upgrade.

 

I love ‘em. You don’t have to attach the bag to the axle, it simply rests in the cradle (I added yoga mat to the cradle to keep them quiet).
