I've looked around online but haven't found a solid answer. Does anyone know if the Access Cab will return for 2023?

Probably. The incoming 22 allocations will probably be 23s if they haven't been built yet.

I'd bet they still sell enough AC to keep them in production.
Now DC LB, I rarely see in the wild.

When Toyota killed the Tacoma Regular Cab at the end of the 2014 model year, news reports started surfacing around August 2013. That leads me to believe the Access Cab should be available at least through the 2023 model year.

    https://tfltruck.com/2013/08/rip-toyota-tacoma-regular-cab-and-the-toyota-tacoma-x-runner/

Also, ACLB and DCSB are built on the same platform. Why not keep both around.

I'd get rid of the DCSB and build more AC. Want a DC, get a DCLB.

Respectfully disagree. The DCLB won’t fit in my garage. I feel the DCSB is the perfect size functionally and aesthetically.
But I think we can all agree that with all the different configurations (32?), there’s a Tacoma for nearly everyone.

It's the same wheel base as DCSB, the RC had a shorter wheels base. When the RC got axed for the 3rd gen Toyota probably stopped sourcing RC frames for new production.

All the other excuses as to why the RC was discontinued cafe standards slow sales was Toyota passing the buck on streamlining their production process.

You need a bigger garage, my RC won't fit in my garage the door is too low. The Ford Maverick would fit.

Let's all be happy that Toyota for now offers a Tacoma AT, MT, DCLB, DCSB, ACLB, SR, SR5, OR, Sport, Limited and Pro. We can get the trim, configuration and transmission that most fits our needs and wants.

    But can we really?
Most AC MT people likely wanted an OR but only had the Sport option in the US (damn you lucky Canadians!)

Yes, not every configuration we might want is available. If Toyota made a Access Cab Pro, I might trade in

DCSB is by far the most common 3rd Gen.

In Canada we have more DCLB by a long shot. Probably 60% are DCLB.

Before 2017, there wasnt even an automatic DCSB, so it was 80% DCLB lol

    Yeah, no.

I have an acess cab only because there was no regular cab, but I understand the majority want the 4 door version.

AC isn't going anywhere, they'd lose basically the entire fleet truck market if they stopped making them
