They are full 2x4s, literal 2 inches thick by 4 inches wide. I only have a miter saw to work with right now, so the clamp might be what I have to go with.

Can also pocket hole it from the backside, 2 screws on flat side of each angled piece. That would pull it tight

If you dont want to do the whole spline trick holding about 4ft of 2x vertical on the table saw, you might want to try dowels. If you're not pressed for time, order up one of these or these. They're pretty straight forward to use, just mark a line across both boards as a reference and drill. Easy peasy.

Interior fiberglass got completed yesterday. Spent about 9 hours bent over this thing yesterday and I’m paying for it today.

If anyone ever decides to do this, I would highly recommend doing it with a partner. The ridiculous circuit of mix epoxy, spread epoxy, squeegee epoxy, tip out bubbles, and repeat is a crazy event to time out right by yourself.

That looks great! I feel your back pain.

West Systems is great stuff. I've used it on both fiberglass and wood.

I’ve always heard desert ironwood doesn’t float. Time to fill up the tub!

My guess is about 8 pounds as I don’t have a scales at home that would weigh it accurately at home.
Ironically I have been just cutting and drying some Ironwood (hop-hornbeam)for knife handles that I’m planning to give to my kids for Christmas when I was looking for a type of wood finish that I have stored in the back of my garage.
That piece has been on the shelf since I moved there 25 years ago left by the last owner . I never sanded it to take a look at it to see what it was it was kind of dark and grungy . All I knew it was heavy so I didn’t throw it out, my wife was surprised.
It may make some nice knife handles . :D
